It sounds like they have no physical location, only a group that meets up at places they can hire for free. The unity amongst group members make them sound more like a cult than an open church. So we're looking at either an Americano ripoff of the Jehovah's Witnesses minus the door to door salesmen, or a clone of Westboro Baptist Church without the death threats and moronic talk show appearances.

I would compare it to Neo Spiritual Christianity in that its cult-like and has no physical location, but The Point don't seem to worship an insane incestual madman who thinks he's a goddess of 80's computers.

Once upon a time, I would have looked at this family and felt genuine pity and found your statement shocking. But then I started working with people like Austin.
Austin never stood a chance. He's surrounded by enablers. I found out early in my career that the enablers will happily just go behind your back and totally undo all the work you are doing with these people, while pleading with you to not give up and keep trying and to save their baby. I understand there may be some religious beliefs in the mix that are causing the parents and brother to do the whole 'love him through it' approach and its pretty clear that Austin has his parents in checkmate. What's the old Simpson's quote? We tried nothing and we're all out of ideas.
At this stage and level of addiction, nothing short of involuntary, locked unit rehab will have an impact. And maybe not even that. His brain has been rewired and his behaviors have been positively reinforced for so long that this just might be who he is now.
