What are the odds Riley never gets charged, with the DA just figuring a night in jail should be a clear enough message to even the biggest tard that he should stay out of Texas?
Not likely in my opinion. He already had a warrant out for stalking Eric. So they cant sit back and ignore it: Riley demonstrated he’s consistently willing to come here to Texas, break the law, and harass people here. And not just Eric July, but also innocent business owners and random people who like Eric.
Rile also admitted that people have called the police on him “hundreds of times.” A prosecutor conducting the review will take note of that, and not to Riley’s benefit.
He also mentioned this was all because he got flagged on twitter. This shows he’s a crazy person who’s willing to come to Texas and harass people over inane shit. That’s not going to weigh in his favor either. And that’s ignoring the possibility of those remarks sending the prosecutor down the rabbit hole to places like this thread.
On the other hand, I don’t see any factors weighing in favor of not charging him with something, trying to get a plea deal, and putting another win under the prosecutors belt so they can move out of the hell called misdemeanor court.
He got arrested in Collin County, which is not a blue county (occasional light blue at best). So betting on a DA that will just wave him off is not a sure thing. And crossing state lines to harass someone is not a good look no matter how you slice it.
Remember, even getting the police involved in a case like this is a rare event where you have to be basically a consistent problem. If he had left when Boozy Bird management asked him to and just called it a night, the police wouldn't have been involved. There were several times Riley made it worse for himself.
