Don't you love how these spontaneous grassroots protests break out cross country in near unison spontaneously? They also seem to have spontaneous printing machines that print out neat, professional laminated protest signs and pamphlets spontaneously. Then those signs and pamphlets are spontaneously shipped to most major cities in under a day. Then there's also these spontanious structured rules printed on those papers to not snitch on fellow rioters.
Call it a hunch but the people that started these protests miiiight not be saying who they claim to be, nor the act of spontaneous action./sneed

I think much of the anger and raw rage comes not from Trump winning but rather that their side lost.

Apparently, Trump's victory put a bullet in the head of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or so says Chuck Schumer.
I don't know of a single trade deal that was as fucking hated by almost every political stripe as this one, so.... Yeah. Motherfucker has made peace with Russia and shot down the TPP, and he isn't even in fucking office yet.

Some of it, maybe. Trump is really hated though. Trump is an internet troll president and said some things that really pissed people off.
You didn't see this kind of anger with Bush with this many people. Not multi-day riots.
I think he's a foolish man, but one who's in it for self-interest. He's not going to do anything to really rock the boat. He want his money and fame and that's it. He played the rubes like the huckster he is. He has no real plans, will serve his term, make numerous gaffes that hurt his pride, and will be out in 4 years. I just have a hunch he'll go back to the private sector and use his presidential expertise to pitch more Trump University scams.
But my point is, nothing is going to change.
It's not the end of the world.
These riots do nothing.

A little bit suicidal, considering concealed carry is legal in Texas, Dallas County was hard blue in the election, and there's a precedent for people getting shot in the head at Dealey Plaza, but I guess sometimes the salt is best tasted fresh

Holy shit this is so true! And EXACTLY the same happens in my country and is responsible for the rise of the right wingers.
The left failed - not just in the usa but in europe too. And they wonder why they lose supporters left and right (no pun intended). It's their own damn fault and they don't get it.

Someone was saying this is justified because Trump was encouraging people to riot when Obama won. (I don't know the American parlance that well but it seems to me like "We should march on Washington" is a far cry from "lose your fucking minds")
Even so, as we all know, if you're trying to prove a platform of moral superiority, the first thing you should do is exactly what you condemn your opponents for.
