Sony hate thread

You know I firmly believe that we are living in the better timeline somehow, as if Nintendo wasn't led by Hiroshi Yamauchi and instead by some sleazy businessman, they'd be joining forces with Sony on the Playstation and effectively become Sony's Japanese branch of video game operations as Sony was already going headfirst into the Western entertainment industry and probably could afford to use Nintendo as their pro-Western culture propaganda machine.....I know this is quite delusional but considering that's the alternative, I'm afraid to say we've got lucky that time.

I think I can explain Sony's retardation but only with galactic levels of copium:
  • AMD and Sony are attached at the hip,
  • PS5PRO uses ZEN 4 (PS5 uses Zen 3) and RDNA3 (PS5 uses RDNA2+)
  • Cerny has new machine learning chips and Cerny Secret Sauce to upscale graphics
  • ML is hardware based, not software based

AMD are pushing/paying Sony to attack the PC market so that AMD can regain marketshare from Nvidia (AMD+Sony merger incoming?)

Tinfoil: MS bought ABK to disrupt the plan. AMD have forced MS out of the console market and, just like with the OG Xbox, Microsoft will have to cut the gen short and change their hardware manufacturer (this time back to Nvidia, instead of away from them).

Some Gran Turismo fans are still being overdefensive about GT7, to the point of shittalking other games. This person on GTPlanet (you can guess that site is about), made this response to a comment about other racing games's car lists:

When almost every other currently updated racing game available today has the new generation Ford Mustang, but Gran Turismo still doesn't, sticks out like a sore thumb. And about the car physics comment, it's funny that they don't mention Sim Racing, when comparing GT to other racing games and saying that GT has the best car handling model.

And it's funny that GT players say that they don't spend extra money on GT, besides the game itself, yet they still pay for a PS Plus subscription to race against other players online. And let's not forget that there are people that whale in this game, because of the FOMO tactics such as the Legendary Car Vendor and Car Invitations.

Just use RPCS3. It runs better than 6th gen emulators. I ran Demon's souls perfectly with upscaled visuals and built in a 60fps mod. Sony will probably not release every PS3 games on the ps5 because of licensing or whatever.
I just wish we would be able to play PS2 games again without shitty spaghetti code emulation or ass HD demasters.

I remember 50 bucks about 6 years ago. Despite the drastic price increase, it's still relatively affordable at least. For now, anyway. It's working controllers that are a pain in the ass, price wise and to find them, for me. There's 3rd party controllers, but I believe most don't have touch sensitive buttons that some games use like ace combat and metal gear.
 
I have a slim and did use it to play Persona 4 a long while ago...but I stopped playing it after I had some quirks when losing a fight and noticed the disc was, like, bored into by the laser, so its out of commission.

People can't even be bothered to make good faith playstation emulator that isn't just them trying to run a modified BSD image in a virtual machine with no GPU emulation. Same with Xbox One [optional: nigger branding nobody can be fucked to remember]. None of these AAA live soyvice goyslop titles are worth preserving. Not even preservationists care.

theres no reason to own a PS5, Sony and MS have basically capitulated to the PC market and have released most of their shit on steam (Sony is a bit more anal with timed exclusivity but still), even Normalfags kind of view PC as a default now, Nintendo is the only unique console because they wont release their games on PC and will probably continue to sell hardware until the end of time unless theres a major shake-up with their management.

The slim has a design flaw where in rare cases the ribbon cable connected to the laser can kink up and scratch discs, usually if someone has been playing with the ribbon cable.

I'm currently maining an extremely rare variant of slim which I managed to find as far as I can tell virtually unused but if I wasn't there are now 3D printed shields to prevent this from being an issue and the old fix is a bit of tape.
