I’m late to the party but I just wanted to drop some facts about how Boogies whole “I did it as an obvious troll not expecting people to buy my coin”.

Not since 2022 has anyone tried to sell a crypto coin earnestly.

What I mean is, everything Boogie said about “ha ha I’m being ironic and this coin will not make you rich (wink emoji)” is literally how every single person sells coins nowadays.

You don’t get anyone really trying to sell a coin that would match the US dollar or take over bitcoin. No one really bothers with white papers on how their coin will revolutionize the digital landscape. They are all irony poisoned meme coins full of bizarre in jokes and memes with the expectation that it will hit 0.
Crypto junkies are not trying to make the next bitcoin because even they know that’s impossible. But they are trying to create the next Dogecoin. They all want to buy a dog shit coin, deliberately “pump” it up, make it a meme that lè based Elongated Muskrat would tweet about so they can all dump it to become “gorrilianers”.


Boogie was not signaling to his audience not to buy it, he was doing the exact opposite.
He was signaling to his audience that they could get it on the ground floor on the next sleeper hit. I've never worked at one but I assume Boogie is dumb enough to think that working at game stop is just playing videogames and not actually making sales.

That's not entirely naive on your part, the original premise was loosely molded around the cows and the "farmers" coming in and grilling them. Then one or two episodes later it came out that some of the farmers were pretty buddy buddy with the cows and the whole thing got pretty cringey, either Keem poured cold water on the premise or the farmers distanced themselves or both. The modern version of the podcast is just an extension of Boogie's channel and is moving toward getting similar views. The cows almost never get challenged at all unless Keemstar comes on and is feeling spicy. But since the money and views are drying up, Keem is starting to lose interest and is focusing on other projects. Bless Tommy for trying but Wings is already mentally checked out too it feels like.
