Several of my old friends who are still involved involved in the Dem ground game have reported that shit is in complete disarray; morale has utterly cratered, half of their volunteers aren't even showing up, They are now viewing the prospect of the Donald's return as a dreadful inevitability.

Things are pushing hard in a beneficial direction. The party leadership is divided between a desperate holding action, cutting and running, or trying a last-minute hail-mary candidate swap which would absolutely fuck them, and the downticket Dems are panicking in turn.

The DNC is already planned to be the center of fiery-but-mostly-peaceful protests by anti-Israel activists. And it's in a city filled with retarded and violent leftists. It’s about evidence that was obtained during the presidency. According to that NYT article, the SCOTUS ruling makes using evidence from a presidency against that president for any crime illegal. The argument to not dismiss would be that the jury would have convicted had this evidence not existed. Normally you’d have to have the jury come in, give testimony, and stuff like that (or more likely just dismiss/mistrial). But this is a clownworld trial so who knows what would happen.

This is a bit outside of my extent of legal knowledge so I’m kind of talking out of my ass, but there is a lot of uncharted legal territory. It’s crazy.
