The points are effectively non-existent to users. There's a hidden threshold I won't elaborate on in detail, but let's explore two hypotheticals:

1. You claim to be a non-practicing pedo, then doublepost yourself with loli pictures. You get banned with 20 points instantly applied on the backend.

2. You're Keffals, and then you threaten to kill Keffals IRL with a hammer and then post a picture of your tranny hand with a note saying "I'm gonna do it, 7.4.2024" outside your own apartment. You get banned with 40 points instantly applied on the backend, but the 40 points flags your posts as DFE-proof and you can't hide the evidence that you fedposted yourself as Keffals.

The points mean nothing to you, and you don't accumulate them with minor spelling errors or doubleposts or even threadbans. They're more of a sorting mechanism for the type of forum-wide ban you incurred, and only matter to the admins.

That being said, I will admit that despite sweeping for 14 months, I never learned how to spot a banned account and only know if someone is banned via word of mouth like this thread. Josh is a bad trainer and would be woman'd out of HR
