It had nothing to do with our parenting, we have five kids, this was the only one who had issues. It was because of another family member that lived with us at the time, and she never told us about it until about a year after the first investigation. The first investigation was literally a former therapist that was mad we fired her and hired a better one. It's not always the parents, in fact if there are multiple kids and only one child is acting out it is most likely not that parents. Said child is now a legal adult doing quite well, has apologized numerous times and still comes to us for advice.
Why do you have multiple children in counseling in the first place, and what could possibly be motivating them to lie about you, and your wife like that?
I doubt a simple therapist change would be enough of a reason.
One had major issues, one had issues with anxiety (still does). Not sending them to therapy would arguably a bigger sign of bad parenting than sending them to therapy. You took exactly the opposite take from this information than what reality is.

Yeah, 70% is wrong. How about the 30% then? You do realise with the number of cases filed daily, 30% is a huge portion right? That's nearly 1/3? So one out of three were legitimate cases of child endangerment?
No it's about seventy percent, and yes the thirty percent is thirty percent too many. And yes it is personal, CPS is constantly being weaponized by teachers, therapists, doctors etc. To go after people for political reasons, that was not our case but it is happening every day. if you ever become a parent you will understand why even people who have never had the displeasure of being investigated are still afraid that it can happen. Are afraid that there kids will be wrongfully taken from them because the investigating social worker didn't sleep well the night before. There have been people that had to fight for years to get there kids back after a shoddy investigation led to them getting taken away. So yeah I take there existence very personally, I'm a parent.
To bring this back on topic, we saw how old Nick dealt with the kids, he was patient, gentle, and loving. Maybe that changed once he was off camera the few times it happened but it certainly changed on camera after the spiral was well under way. No more patience, no more gentleness, no more love. Nothing but anger, irritation, and annoyance. I believe Nick about 2009, 2023 a little harder to believe considering we saw how he reacted a few times at that point, the rest we know at least enough to pray that him and Kayla go to prison.
You can hate Nick and acknowledge that any organization of the state that has power to take children away from their parents regardless of reasoning and is always backed by the courts is a bad thing. Let's assume that about ten percent that end up in the seventy are repeat files where something is subsequently found, sixty fourty right? Wrong, how many of the thirty percent are instances where they got it wrong? Ten? Twenty? One child abuser is too many, how many innocent families should the state be allowed to break up to find that one?
Anyway fuck Nick, fuck Kayla, fuck the Imaholtes, fuck Drexel, Fuck Lawtube with a couple of exceptions, and fuck CPS at least 70% of the time. For those who rated my most recent post MATI, absolutely wrong, disliking CPS has nothing to do with the internet, that would be this one.
