On the old FB the sons mentioned a trip to Africa in 2017. Sounds like he had the funding to wander around the globe inbetween “looking for jobs” or whatever. Now, with that established, my question is: how bad of an idea would it be to pierce my ears? For personal/gender reasons, I've been floating the idea on and off for about ten years now, and have finally reached a point in my life/career/location where I'm not in immediate danger by doing so. However, I'm also not completely stupid, and am aware that doing something like this would at minimum shut the doors to more conservative workplaces.
For context, the piercings would be earlobe only (nothing too radical), and in a work context would either be removed or kept to minimal studs. My hair goes past my ears at current, but things like that change as well.
Basically: I acknowledge that this action would have negative consequences on my career at minimum; how severe are these consequences likely to be for a data scientist in the Pacific Northwest?

My theory is trannyism is mental illness.
Men are still men and women are still women.
How it got to this point is that the SJW HR type women were all in on the tranny stuff.

Here’s the 2nd part of the theory, men being men have a natural competitive edge ingrained into their very being.

Someone goes by that name on Twitter, whose location is listed as Portland, Oregon, which tracks with the Linkedin. Registered in 2009, and only posted two things, back in 2010.

So they were far ahead of the curve on trooning out. If he was born in April of 1991, he'd have been 17 at the time he registered as "Genderfuck McGee, A mindless mass of contradictions; a boy, a girl, a sad little optimist."
