Him saying SF6 doesn't play like a fighting game is so funny. The two games he considered himself good at were MvC2 which is filled with infinites and 100% damage combos and SF2T which has insane fucking damage and straight up broken characters.

He desperately misses the time when no one knew how to abuse Cable and AHVB at his local mall arcade so he could dunk on them.

I'm still waiting for the glorious stream where he tardrages after enough losses and finally breaks his stick on camera. The mental gymnastics of shifting the blame onto something else alone will be worth it.
DarkSanfordPhil is the moment I didn't know I wanted. God, I hope we get a stick smash, only for him to blame the dent who donated it.

I hope we get a rage induced SF6-stroke/heart attack.

And Phil calling out to Khat to call 911, except she’s so caught up with building LEGOs/fantasizing about getting the house when Phil kicks the bucket that she doesn’t hear him.

Pigroach luck will finally have run out, as the only people in chat that day will be trolls who are too busy to discuss whether it’s a pity-beg or a real incident, and laugh at Phil’s stroke face.

people say the SFVI rage is getting old, but his final match of today vs a Ken ended with him very nearly telling the player that they should kill themselves. so iunno, I've been enjoying it.
Also blaming his cat for distracting him. I can't wait until he starts acting like Mikeneko/Rushia who apparently starved her cat to death.

I normally have a hard time enduring any sort of Phil gameplay, but his SFVI rage manages to be both incredibly predictable and repetitive, yet somehow feel fresh and funny with each clip. Maybe it's because of how much he values the series. Phil sucking at games is the norms, but there's something extra with seeing him suck at a game he truly think he's a gaming god at.

This. dude's on the brink of smashing his fightstick to pieces. SF6 is the only game that still brings out the old entertaining regarded Phil

For those who missed it

And Iam getting seriously MATI whenver this retard yells about dropped inputs. Maybe he was either too late or misclicked. Heck it happens to tourney players live on camera. You know the "best of the best"? And some of them even play with controllers not sticks. I bet we get aother copecast today once he has scrolled through X and Twitter seeing him prominently on Scrubquotes and what have you. but fuck that Anon tipper with the 50$. Contributing half of the 100$ tips and DipShitPenis doesn't wear the hat

See I have been in this way too long, and the absolute best Phil is Phil getting fucking filtered by fighting games. Because sure you have the usual ego. But like he stakes everything on his fighting game abilities. That is genuinely the only thing in his whole life anyone has actually complimented him on. And I get it. I hold my card game tournaments near and dear to me. Back when I was 10 and no one could beat me at school. But I also grew. I hit bigger ponds. And I got fucking humbled. And I learned, and so my accomplishments grew. I also have an entire life of achievements I can hang my hat on. But you know, the petty can be satisfying.

See Phil is unfortunate. He started off a big fish in the pond. He was the spoiled brat that got every console port of these fighting games and the strategy guides. So his whole fit about discovery is just wrong. And while I am talking about that, austistic little power level. Even back in the day that shit was faggy behavior. I was also the spoiled brat who got subscriptions to yugioh magazines and the first thing I did was take em to my friends and well look at all the rulings we got wrong, but share the tips and combos. Because when you only play five people, one guy getting ahead is fucking lame. And Phil insisting that is peak gameplay tells you everything you need to know about why he just never grew.

He's not even good during that time he's just rationalizing himself that he is good because he won 4th place at a broken Street Fighter port and no other American player was playing.

DSPs latest SF 6 rant is all retarded but one part is especially exceptional.

He complained that every one knows how to punish Bison's scissor kicks with stand light kick because some nudnik influencer made a video guiding how to beat Bison.

Dave is so retarded that he thinks a video guide is needed to tell someone "Use a fast button with good reach to punish a move that is only a little unsafe and leaves Bison at range."
Even if you didnt think of that, by process of elimination you could discover this in the space of a single match. Or half of one minute on training mode.

Before even this though. Before Bison released, capcom uploaded an official over view of his moves. Even in that guide, they said scissors kick was safe only with correct spacing.

TLDR: Dave is retarded and barely understands the games he plays because of it. Breaking news I know.

What I find funnier is that he has such a high lack of self-awareness that it's almost staggering.

He has had matches where 90% of his tactic is literally to just rush into the opponent and use grab, at times over 60% of the hp bar is removed via grabs that are back to back, and on the same match, he will shout "Mash that jab" or "Mash that uppercut".

Like bro, have some self-respect or something.

Heard recently during a REEEstream Phil activating his "as Im getting older and wiser" auto-gaslighting module. Motherfucker genuinely thinks hes Earth's Protagonist that gets xp every day and will have a 99 INT perk unlocked by the end of his 40s.
Phil was making comments on his retro reacks stream the exact same time older Phil was making the exact same comments a decade earlier, like an echo. He hasn't changed. He's been in stasis for years, and he actually seems to have gotten dumber due to rotting his brain doing nothing but shopping and playing phone games.

That rant shows he only wants to play people who don't know how to play. He wants to do unsafe shit and not get punished, and if he does get punished it's not fair and they're cheating. Such a toddler. Big "mom said you have to let me win" energy.

I get that at the end of the day damage is damage, but to me part of the fun of competitive videogames, especially fighting games, is to come up with your own style and play flashy, not necessarily optimal. Phil is the opposite. He'll put on his tryhard gameface and focus purely on cheap grabs and mashing out his level 3. It's so lame to watch. Even if he was as good as he thinks he is I doubt he'd get much of an FGC audience because of how how plays.

Hey I definitely get why he's hilarious in his SF6 rage moments, maybe I get triggered because 42-year old Phil Burnell reminds me of 10 year old kids who never get told no, and what they become. Heck, I think most of us acted like that in our childhood.

The "I don't even want to play anymore" and "I give up" talk is awful. It's worse when you use either of his 2 excuses. If it's work, saying that at a job gets you fired usually. If it's a hobby or something he likes, well, clearly he doesn't like it because nobody is forcing you to play a game. I'm surprised he doesn't text Kat during SF6 breaks and whine about the game being unfair.

So until he either 1) actually rage quits and never plays again, banishing it into the SFV and MK1 fighting game pile, or 2) somehow gets his dumbass banned from SF6, eh. Also his feeble ass can only muster some whining at Jasper and joystick smacking. I would take a spiking of the Nazi hat, it breaking, and him whining about that for days.

He can never get a real SF6 audience because he adds nothing. You might get a nugget of useful information by accident, but it's largely whining and puffing chest when he wins. Only thing you can learn from him is how to deflect blame.

It's even funnier when you realize the in game tutorial/moveset videos HE WATCHED IN GAME explain the same thing. He just didn't absorb any of the information the game itself gave him. He immediately went to relying on three or four moves that he calls Bison's "bread and butter" and now people have learned to play against Bison and he's getting washed.

One of DSP's recent SF6 whines has been about the corner being a guessing game/minigame. He claims fighting games were not like that before. He also claims that pros do not play that way. DSP v Tokido Evo 2005. It's quite easy to see that trapping the opponent in the corner is a strategy used. Forcing guesses between strikes and throws is used. 50/50 cross-up guesses are used.

He plainly stated in the Wrap that he doesn't think his fans know fighting games. Is that why he feels comfortable lying to them about fighting games? Did the gin blissfully burn away his memory? Or is his brain constructing a Matrix-like simulation to protect him from reality? The world may never know.

It's pretty obvious how much of it is simply a coping mechanism at this point. You can tell from all his bragging whenever he feels like he's doing well, he has a very clear emotional investment and wants to feel like he's "still got it" when he plays SF. He spent so much time jerking off about how the haters are mad that he reached 1580 MR instead of immediately plummeting into the 1400s like he did with every other character.
Not breaking any new ground here I think but there's no other way you can explain how the netcode is only sabotaging him when he's playing poorly. He even still cries about "character selection" while playing Bison, which it's almost universally agreed on that Bison is really good if not better than some of the other top tiers that he bitches about.
