With the amount of shitty motels they stay at, this was more of a “when” than “if” situation. The way she words it makes it sound like she’s had experiences with bed bugs before. The Thorn Household having bedbugs is the least surprising thing I’ve ever heard.

Bed bugs are my number 2 hated things right behind ticks so I’m glad the incest family has them. I dated a nurse who unknowingly brought them into my place and that was hell. Definitely bedbugs. Bedbugs bite, walk in a straight line, bite again, repeat. Fleas walk all over. Notice in your pic the flea bites have some clumps of bites. In the original pic you can tell the bites are all in straight lines.

Lone Star ticks are a more southern species, as the name would imply. I don't think they carry Borellia, but they're notable for another fun fact- their bites have been associated with people developing allergies to red meat. Some part of the tick or its saliva is quite immunogenic and cross-reacts with another protein in beef and other tasty animals.
