I don't understand why Ralph thinks WWII vets would be upset about a cartoon chick singing the national anthem. Aren't there Betty Boop animations dating back to the 30s where she's singing? I don't think they'd give a shit. Or if they did, they'd be mad that the national anthem was being used as a promotional device, but I doubt they'd see it as a disgrace because it's being sung by a cartoon.

I don't really know why anyone cares one way or the other.

a) Take Me Out to the Ball Game isn't the national anthem, b) I think a lot of WW2 vets would be upset if a fucking cartoon pretend-child sang the national anthem. That would be making an utter mockery of it.

I feel like if your entire job is to be a voice actress and singer then you should actually know how to sing a simple song. But yeah as long as she manages to sound like a 5 year old her fans don't care.

I don't know why I thought she was there to sing the anthem. I must have just assumed it, that's my bad. But that means there's even less reason for Ralph/others to have a problem with it.

As for vets getting upset, maybe you're right. I think most wouldn't give a shit since it's for a baseball game, and would look at it like Betty Boop/Woody Woodpecker or some other cartoon singing it, but I could be wrong about that (or maybe that would be seen as equally insulting).

Vtubers are inherently embarrassing to normal people which is why they don't want to be associated with them or their fans, if you want to understand better just imagine a furry in a fursuit singing instead.
