Can't find a fucking job

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Yes, agencies are the way to go. Too many zoomers are refusing to show up for shifts or having their parents call in for them (seriously, it happens. It's hilarious.) If you have a Goodwill in your area, you can try them too. They have a job skills program, they'll get you forklift certified that can help you get a much better paying job wrt those kinds of jobs too.

Try extending to other cities if you can. I finally found a job in a city a few hours away from me. My guess is that money is tight, a stealth-recession is in full swing, and people with better qualifications are applying for lower level jobs so anyone with exact fit qualifications are pushed out by the overqualified. Internet applications have been a disaster for the American race. Over 100 apps for every job and H1Bs are applying for every job they can get their grubby little Indian paws on.

I've applied to so many fucking places in my town and they've all ghosted me. I really need a job and I'm freaking the fuck out. Literally just any shitty job will do.
So like what are your capabilities, is it literally nothing and you are hoping for mcjob? Thats actually fairly competitive due to all the completely 0 value retards invited in you might have more luck trying for stuff you are under qualified for and seeing if they will offer you a more junior version of the position where they train you or something

Ok thats a great idea and I think they like to seek out people with autism like me too. Theres one near me.

If you have any sort of college education, or know a skill, but can't find a job in that sector, consider making a portfolio.
It's easier to get a job if you show the people hiring you examples of what you can do

Long term, you should start learning AI
There are a ton of people losing their jobs to it each year
You can automate a lot of tasks using it... even programming, as long as you have some basic knowledge on the subject

When I was an unskilled laborer, who couldn't find a job, I went door-to-door offering to do anything anyone needed. Mowing lawns, shovelling snow, chopping wood, carrying water around a garden, didn't matter to me. On some days the pay wasn't so good, but it was a lot better than nothing - and the longer I did this the more people I met who learned I wasn't the worst laborer on Earth. After someone hired me more than once and I made them satisfied customers, they'd start offering job leads and character references for me. Your mileage may vary, but if you are a good worker, put yourself out there and shine. People pick up on cues like that.

Many states have employment security offices that exist to provide free services like resume building, interview training, job searching and will often even sit with you at the computer and assist you through the whole process. They often have relationships with industries to help find applicants. Your tax dollars are already paying for these services, make sure you take advantage of them!

Here is an example: https://esd.wa.gov/

Are you male, over 21, have a clean driving record, and no drug convictions?

I always recommend any young man with those qualifications apply with one of the big trucking companies like Swift, CR England or such. They'll train you, get you your CDL, and then milk the fuck out of you for a year. Make no mistake, they'll absolutely take advantage of you.

But, as an OTR driver, you'll have a (fiberglass) roof over your head, plenty of places to shit and shower, and if you game the game you can eat off your fuel rewards points.

And when your year of purgatory is done, you're set up with a ticket to an easy job that makes good money, or a hard job that makes 6 figures plus. And you don't have to pay rent.

I never advise this to women, not because women can't be drivers and good ones too, but because OTR trucking is fucking dangerous for a woman by herself.

I'm making almost 40 bucks an hour to post on KF right now. I chose "easy, but good money."

Truck Driving. The pay scales are very wide, but you'll figure out how to move to the high paying Hazmat hauling once you're in.

It is such a based industry that all the trannies that work in that industry are also based.

Don't go into the owner-operator route until you actually have money in the bank. You do not want to start this career with a tractor loan. Drive fleet on someone else's tractor and insurance first.

About 10% of LH drivers now are women, most of them are doing trailer drops and not doing hazmat hookups or messing around with oversize flats.

Those little 5th wheel cameras solved the woman driver problem, the most work she has to do now is plug in the reefer umbilicals.

All the backup cameras in the world won't stop you getting raped and murdered because you had a delivery in Philly and had time to park up on the curb.

But there's other threads for those looking to invest in nigger deactivation devices, so just bear it in mind. And if anyone ever wants to steal your load, be courteous to them. It's not your shit and not your job to defend it.

Dear God yes good point. Many such cases of young bucks getting their CDL only to be scammed into some horrible "rent to own" sort of affair where they make peanuts in order to allegedly some day get saddled with a 15 year old freightshaker.

I'm still a company driver 7 years in, because my autistic obsession is agriculture, not trucks. Successful owner ops can sperg on for paragraphs about all the best ways to truck. I'd even hazard a guess there's some on this forum.
