Quick note to people who may want to join iFunny and join in on the shit posting that if you have an android phone to download an older version of the app top avoid getting ads shitty UI that drains your battery life and potently lost features like the comic maker. I personally recommend version 6.20 which is harder to find still hosted on APK sites but if you need versions 7.something should be fine as well.

I knew you could still be vile and edgy there but I thought that was because the userbase had dwindled to the point that nobody cared to report offensive content. It would be the internet equivalent to spray painting NIGGER on an abandoned building and nobody bothers to paint over it, meanwhile posting similar content on Reddit, Faceberg, or pre-Elon Twitter was more like painting NIGGER on a synagogue.

There was also the only porn account that everyone liked. A dude named “IWannaFuckAhsoka” they would do nothing but post thirsty fan art of Ahsoka from Star Wars. Eventually the guy posted that he managed to fuck a cosplayer dressed as her. If that dude ever comments on anything people will screenshot it and post it.

There was also Spxrtan, whose famous post was wanting Cortana from the Halo series to “wrap her hot bitch lips around his cock” and nothing else.


Also there was an account called Ouch that changed hands many times and at one point had three owners. They were claiming to have offered $6M for iFunny last year before the offer was rejected and the site was sold to a chinese company. Anyone know if that was real? I guess weirder things could happen than some rich businessman liking the app that much.
And he was endorsing another account who was working on an iFunny++ project for fun and was pretty far along. I remember reaching out to help with deployment or development and he didnt really seem interested in actually making a replacement to the app even though he was mostly there. Sad.

It was getting to the point where saying the word “black”, “jew”, “tranny”, anything with “nig” in it, “fag” or “rape” in any context would get your comment hidden from anyone. If your comment had too many emojis or special characters it wouldnt let you post it.
Innocuous posts would get removed for no reason and people would get 3 day bans for no given reason.

Then for about a week last month all content moderation vanished overnight to the point you could say hard r with no consequence.
“r” and “noon” are now permanently engrained in my vocabulary, though.

Funnily enough, the worse the censorship gets, the more creative the methods become to slip past the automod. You had people changing the fonts of their posts or people hiding slurs in creative ways like the aforementioned Ben Garrison cartoons,

I remember there was a whole trend of people making IWannaFuck accounts. The Ashoka one was the most popular but there were two other accounts that popped into my head, IWannaFuckArcherQueen, who thirsted over the Archer Queen from Clash of clans and was active before IWantToFuckAshoka, and Iwanttofuckceilingfans, who thirsted over ceiling fans. I remember people dming the ceiling fans account and having their ceiling fans rated by the guy.

There are some bot accounts that dm you on iFunny asking for cashapp or venmo, and some of them were ran by Nigerians, so the phrase "Oloribu omo ofo onire sorire" was used against them, which directly translates to "Empty headed child" but actually means something like "Your child will be stillborn" which they take very seriously. The most common reaction images I've seen used against them were either Ryan Gosling or the clown.
