Do they follow state and federal regulations when it comes to staff training regarding crisis centers? Is the Trevor Project not part of thier community? I fail to see what they offer that the Trevor Project doesnt.

The Trevor Project specifically targets youth. More importantly, though, the Trevor Project offered to help them train their operators.

It's disingenuous to claim that they make people aware of their shortcomings. They don't explicitly state that they don't have accreditation from the American Association of Suicidology (the Trevor Project does), and they most certainly don't make clear just how far short of accepted standards their own "training" falls. They don't make clear how little of their income is spent on service delivery.

It's bait and switch to claim that you're a suicide prevention service and then say "well if you want someone who's actually trained then you should call someone else". Call yourself a peer support service if that's all you're offering (and it is), but don't promote yourself as one thing in order to get donations and then deliver something different.

Sorry for double posting but...

This appears to confirm that TLL is being used as a vehicle to funnel money to Nina. Nina does not have a green card and cannot legally work. We know this both from Greta's FB posts and the e-begging campaign asking for donations to help get Nina a green card.

We know how much Greta gets paid. It's a "stipend" of $2000 per month and that doesn't even count the "travel expenses" TLL pays for. Sub-minimum wage, my ass.

Also, the Iron Rose can be annoying as fuck at times but they have a low tolerance for people doing the wrong thing. They've called out the "trans murder epidemic" narrative before and went apeshit at Fire when he wanted to sue a women's shelter.

Ironically, finding out that Greta is friends with Fire would probably damage her credibility with TMT posters more than anything else.

Fuck off. Greta said that TLL had "reached out to the families" of the people who committed suicide after the election. She absolutely presented those deaths as fact, and not something which TLL was waiting to verify. She absolutely used those fabricated deaths as a springboard for raising funds.

Lack of resources does not explain the pathetic training of volunteers. The Trevor Project offered to help them train volunteers. TLL delivers their shitty training online so they have no excuse whatsoever for not having better training materials, for not running more training sessions, and for not having sufficient support for volunteers. None of those things costs money. The reason they haven't happened is because Nina and Greta regard travelling around "networking" as a higher priority than delivering the very service they exist to provide.

Nina and Greta are being paid to travel and to make begging posts on social media - for donations which are then used to fund more travel. It's amazing how they manage to find a new reason to desperately need more donations every month.

As Snopes has already involved themselves in the trans suicide claim stuff (and I suspect Greta has backed off on that claim only because they did), it might be time to get them to look into TLL, too.
