An insane body cam video released by Buffalo Police shows an officer pulling a man over for a traffic stop and asking the driver to step out of the vehicle. What happens next is just beyond all comprehension.

It's amazing to watch the cop, who just got tossed out of a speeding vehicle and shot a fleeing suspect, immediately get up and run to the wrecked car to see if the 6-year-old girl in the passenger seat is okay.

"Come here, baby, I got you. You ok? You're ok."

"Records show that Roberts was recently indicted in June on charges of firing gunshots following a vigil for his brother on April 22. Although no one was injured in that incident, Roberts faced felony charges of attempted assault and weapons possession. He had pleaded not guilty and was released under supervision."

Now watch the department get sued by the family cause the cop shot the guy while he's driving at high speed and could have gotten himself and the kid killed and/or caused a serious accident involving other people

He did what he had to, but even so, if the family or blm wants to start shit over it they'll royally fuck him on that one

Can they, though? This isn't a man with a knee on his neck saying he can't breev; this is a guy who resisted cooperation and escalated the problem, putting the cop's life at unnecessary risk, and it was fully captured on cam.

Or maybe I'm just high on copium. This is Clown World after all, where logic and common sense go to die...

My brother in christ, while your optimism is laudable, Cohen's law states that no matter how obviously in the right somebody is about an issue, there's a slimy lawyer out there willing to argue the opposite, and maybe win by sheer evil orneriness.

Most of the lefty discourse on this particular shooting is pivoting to how police bodycams are propaganda for power, because they can't marry the fact that they all fantasized post-BLM that normalizing them would unleash a bevy of footage featuring thuggish cops shooting pwecious urban youths for sport, with the reality that it instead shows that 99% of police encounters with black people involve dealing with spastic nutcases with zero impulse control.

You would think maybe, just MAYBE after the 100+ time this shit happened they'd think "ayy mane dying ain't good n shit imma just put my hands up" but nope. The literal entirety of 2020 was spent on George Floyd and how he got smoked by a racist cop for fighting back and they still refuse to stop acting like feral animals. Fucking mindblowing.

I'll cut the little kid some slack, he's like seven, responded cordially to the officer etc. He'd clearly been taught not to sperg out. Having your dad/uncle/whoever drive off with a cop hugging the window, then said driver being shot and falling out of the stil-moving car and crashing is all a bit out of the daily experience of a little kid. Wanting his phone is a pretty easy thing for his mind to focus on in that clusterfuck sequence of events (plus he needs it to call for his mom).
