Well I ain't exactly secret anymore! My concern was always less for myself and more for my friends, especially those who don't have an established reader/backer base. I'm talking about the folks who struggle to break $2-3K on a campaign. It still isn't clear to me why you're a secret guy. Did you ever explain what it was you're afraid will happen?
I'm a big guy. "Physically intimidating", you might say. I've literally never been in a fight because when people step to me (in the real world), I go nose-to-nose to them and they back down QUICK. Thing is, I'm a total marshmallow. I literally wouldn't hurt a fly (fuck mosquitos, though - those fuckers are trying to drink my blood!). I'm not a pacifist (any meth freak who breaks into crib has a choice between a belly full of steel or an ass full of lead) but I am a Peacenik. Thing is, people don't know that just from looking at me.
Anyways (yeah, I know this is long winded!), I had this friend who would stir up shit with some redneck and then come and hide behind me. One day I just let him get his ass beat and he was like, "Where were you!?" I politely explained that if someone just jumped him for no reason I'd have his back, but if he was going to start shit that was HIS business.
Thing is, a lot of those receipts involve other people who are friends of mine. Do I dig them up and share them and get them in Reethan's crosshairs? To what end? The Flying Monkeys won't change their minds. Reethan will just twist the narrative any way that works for him and they will believe it. Of course, they're all losers and degenerates, but they are great at artificially increasing their numbers.
Reethan is no longer a credible threat, a sniper taking shots from a burning building. I'm not worried about him, but drawing my friends into a personal scrap is not my style.
Am I making any sense?
