How did we come to a point where a race of people who live off of fast food became the judge of what good food is? How did this even happen?

You're right about that because tabasco has too much of vinegar in it. It overpowers fried chicken.

Yeah that was my point, mexican's eat spicier peppers on average but that's nothing compared to those East Asians and Indians. They have some food that is genuinely scary spicy.

My family is extremely white. Despite that my brother and my Dad love superhot peppers. Like it has to be over 1M scoville or something very special (Death Nectar sauce) for them to consider it hot.
My Dad grows his own ghost peppers and almost exclusively eats ghost pepper salsa. One time my brother ate a Carolina reaper RAW. He said the spice in his mouth wasn't nearly as bad as the burning in his intestines.
They both did the one chip challenge at one point. My Dad was a bit overwhelmed but my brother barely even blinked. He ate the remainder of the chip my Dad didn't finish like it was nothing. It took him many years of slowly increasing his spice tolerance to get there.

Why do people think having a "high spice tolerance" is a brag to begin with? Hot sauce is put on food that is bad or has gone off to cover up the bad/spoiled taste. That's why it's not found in many white cuisines, but is used a lot in hot third world countries with poor refridgeration.

People who put hot sauce on everything do it because they can't cook and can't make anything that tastes good, so they need to cover up the flavor. Somehow this is supposed to be impressive instead of sad and pathetic.

It's always been more of a Southern thing. It's easy to stay hydrated down South when you need a gallon of water to put out the fire on your tongue. Heat tolerance has always been a flex. My Southern relatives make fun of me for my low tolerance, but all my friends up North think I'm impressive. It's just human nature to want to brag about stuff like that.

As far as the seasoning thing, I really think Blacks must have a different taste profile. Liking salty foods and disliking more bitter flavors is a sign that a person has more tastebuds than average. I'd like to see if a study exists comparing races.
