"Generic Democrat" is impossible to play to. So is "Generic Republican". Honestly, the terms are misnomers. A better term over "Generic" would be "Ideal", because when asked the question people will form a candidate in their head that matches their preferred policies 1-to-1. It is why "Generic X" -always- polls better than any actual candidate.
That's why I said they should quit worrying about "name recognition" and just grab some nobody. There's just 4 months left, that's not really enough time for a nobody to become known, it's as close as you can get to running a "Generic Democrat". Just pick some Dem governor no-one's ever heard of, and have them campaign on the usual centrist platitudes and "I'm not Trump" type ads. The less people know about the actual candidate, the better.

That's their best possible option now in terms of actually beating Trump (aside from fraud, of course).

But it'll never happen, because the Dems are in too much of a purity spiral to ever pick a nobody they can't use to pander to some faction of the party. And if the rando still lost, and they probably would, the DNC would get all the heat for not picking someone more famous or a minority, etc. So they'll never set themselves up for taking the blame like that. It's safer for them to just let Biden fuck up and toss him aside after the election, and try again in 2028 with Newsom.

Counterpoint, their nobody would have a severe money disadvantage where as the Trump team would have a massive advantage. Meaning they could spend that time plastering the worst policy choices of this theoretical candidate while said candidate would have to sit and take it. It would be very cherrypicked but absolutely devastating.

It's very different because the USSR was a failed 'nation' of uniting a bunch of countries, races, and ethnicities that all hated each other except for marxism as the 'final solution' to solve those things. When the ideology failed by the late 70s, it was doomed to split.

The US has no such thing since the manifest destiny idea and that was over 100 years ago. The USSR could easily split, and did, among its previous states. The USA just can't. It's way too integrated. At most you might split the left coast off with the mid/south as one, and the northeast of PA/MD as a 3rd.

That's not to say there couldn't be another break up and civil war, but it would be far less clear than the 1860's one with lines easily drawn.
Thinking about the US breaking up, I'd guess it's most likely that the first possible step towards it will be local governments starting to increasingly ignore the feds. More and more they'll just disregard things like emissions standards, gun laws and, as heralded by that recent legal case, bans on home distilling. At that point it raises the question of what the government will do about it.

Israel provides an example here with their haredi draft controversy. They passed a law saying that haredim must report for the military draft, while those communities responded by rioting and burning stuff across major cities. Now it's clear the government can't compel them to serve and they've eroded their authority by giving an order that won't be followed. They don't have the manpower to jail everyone that refuses the draft, especially while fighting a war.

So if the feds in the US face mounting disobedience, they'll have to carefully choose where and how to apply pressure. Will they be able to quell small acts of disobedience before it grows too big to stop? The US could continue for quite some time with a status quo where some jurisdictions ignore the feds on some things. It would anger some people for sure to have a system where laws that are supposed to apply everywhere actually don't, but what could really break apart the country is if the government starts drawing lines in the sand and demanding "obey or we'll send in US marshals."

donald trump is a combination of a saturday morning cartoon villian and Emmanual Goldstein to these people. Like I can sincerely empathize with people who genuinely don't like trump and have valid criticisms of him and his policies but these people are something else. They have nothing but "POOPY DIAPER DRUMPF" tier things to say about trump. There's literally nothing they have to say I can't find myself from just watching episodes of colbert or whoever.

They're the target of "skibidi biden"
Yeah this seemingly self-contradicting image of Trump coming from the left is quite interesting. On the one hand, Trump is this bumbling idiot who doesn't know what he's talking, he can barely move on his own and is even more mentally impaired, possibly even more so, than Joe Biden.
On the other hand, Trump is a brilliant super evil genius who manipulates and schemes his way into forcing all institutions to bend to his will. He's more cunning and dangerous than Caesar, Napoleon and Hitler combined, and if he wins he will become dictator.
The media of course has incentives to lie like this but the average Democrat unironically believes both of the above are true.

It's one of the reasons I can never take trump hate seriously

Isn't that a big thing on that so called "list of fascist characteristic" that these types love to throw around to define fascism when pressed about it? "The enemy must both be weak and strong, so that it is at the same time pathetic and degenerate but a existential threat" or some bullshit like that? It's not actually a thing for fascism directly as plenty of other systems of government and even religion have used similar tricks but it sure is interesting to see them go so hard on it.

At least with current Trump fans the point is that Biden is weak and pathetic, but the people who control him behind the curtain are the dangerous one. No such distinction on the TDS crowd.

Has no one ever read 1984?

This is called "double think" the ability to hold two contradictory ideals in your mind without any conflict. Your enemy is both super powerful and all knowing whose on the verge of destroying your system AND a bunch of idiots who are laughable. It will all depend on what best fits the narrative of the day.

And it's a staple of Left Wing politics.

For fucks sake 1984 was not supposed to be a instruction manual, it was a dire warning of what would happen if the far ends of the spectrum were ever to gain power. But in the 1990's some retards looked at the book and said "man, that's some gud thinking there".

That's literally exactly what they did with Bush. And McCain. And probably Romney, and Reagan, and Dole, I just don't remember.

It's their playbook: "The GOP candidate is literally Hitler! If he's elected, he'll kill all the gays! All he cares about are the rich and making money!! He's an evil, free-market capitalist, ewww!!!! And he's secretly working for Russia/North Korea/Iran!!!

"Also, he's an incompetent idiot who can't talk and he's actually a closet gay who likes to make out with dudes, yuck! He's not respected by foreign leaders!! He wants to put sanctions on Russia/North Korea/Iran!!! He'll destroy our foreign relations with those great nations and destroy our economy!!!"

Democrats are nothing but contradictions pretending to be people. Ask a Democrat her opinions on Abortion, the Death Penalty, and Veganism some time, and you'll have an aneurism trying to make sense of her responses.

I wonder why the white keeps losing conservatives like yourself will literally attack anyone to your right this has been going on since the 1960s when commander Rockwell was constantly called a federal informant
It's called "self-policing," a strategy used by any rational society to keep things stable. If the liberal left did this, they wouldn't have balding middle aged trannies showing little kids their dicks.

Project 2025 is just leftist QAnon.
Nah, leftist QAnon was all the people sperging out after the debate that CNN hung Biden out to dry, that Jake Tapper was a hostile moderator to him, that the split screen cameras were pointed at different angles to the candidates and THAT'S why Biden kept looking slack-jawed off-camera, etc. There were a lot of true believers in the media charade that Biden's been totally fine for years, existing in an isolated ecosystem where they've never seen third-party footage of him stumbling around, who were convinced it all had to be a conspiracy to make him look as bad as he did.

Project 2025 is just the DNC attaching the name of a Heritage Foundation plan they view as a threat to the usual 10 minutes of hate, rising tide of fascism bullshit they use to scare their audience into voting Blue.

They already are "self-policing" themselves except it is done to purity spiral all of the insufficiently leftist democrats out of the party.

The irony with double think is that it is simultaneously self-reinforcing and incredibly fragile. By requiring it, the person who is brought in to believe it becomes trained in a pattern of thought where they realize on some level what they know is wrong but because of the human nature to avoid unpleasant topics the mind will paper over this and create an armor around the idea. making it harder and harder to disrupt it. The flipside is that once broken it -shatters-, and nothing can put the pieces back together. It is why the most virulently anti-left people are former left-wing people.

I'm not conservative either, but its really not fair to say conservatives are stuck in the past when liberals are to.
You're arguing with someone who thinks unironic white supremacy is the only way to save the country, despite the fact that 90+% of the country is completely repulsed by the idea.

With crime becoming harder to cover up and more prevalent I'd say 90 is very generous, especially considering many Hispanics who fit into those numbers hate blacks even more than whites do. The golem has gotten out of control and one of the consequences of the unchecked migration is they have also imported old world blood feuds and rivalries with it.

Hating ghetto hoodrats and their antisocial destructive behavior and believing that society should enforce against such things =/= thinking blacks are subhuman or that you should have a white-dominated ethnostate and reimpose Jim Crow.

Remember, a nigger is not a race, but a state of mind.

Am I misremembering or wasn't there also something called BlueAnon? Like an actual 'Q, but for the left'? I don't remember much other than reading/hearing about it occasionally but I do recall that specifically.

Honestly the only way the Feds could enact law and order would be through gay ops that paints these local governments and groups as "terrorists" and "Dangerous to democracy TM" Even then, enforcing the laws would be a task that would either have to be done carefully and thoughtfully, or (because the Dems and Rinos are desperate for their WEF master's utopia to come about) through bloody bombings and military action.
And if you don't think the Dems won't sick the army on the population, then you don't get how DESPERATE they are for complete control.
