I can't imagine why anyone would take the risk when he's not only winning but the DNC is currently imploding into a civil war between the keep-Biden and the dump-Biden camps. A uncovered false-flag by his own camp would only harm him.

Unless you mean it's a glowie thing and the assailant will turn out to be "MAGA extremist". I'd expect that to be a more full on attempt to kill him. I honestly can't tell if this was or not right now - I mean I presume it was but by the way he reacts with flinching to the initial hit rather than with death, makes me think he was hit with something other than a bullet. Actually, scratch my last post. The people who would most benefit from a successful Trump assassination would be the Republican party who would coast to total victory on his death without being burdened by having Trump interfering with their plans.
