I don't think trump staged this an ear graze is way too close for that. The reaction of the crowd is befuddling to me though. Most of them don't get the fuck down, and they don't seem to panic or move. I have no explanation, but compared to false shooter alarms where entire malls and schools panic, it seems odd.

Also, no idea how accurate gunshot fire is over the audio at play but it seems suppressed or small caliber? Its very dull but that could be blown out mic pickup

chances are it was a small .22 pistol and those are pretty easy to conceal. I bet the shooter was just in the crowd right in front of the podium and smuggles in the weapon in like his sock or something. Security is kinda tight but on these big crowd events it's impossible to search everyone effectively.

I will agree that the SS response wasn't great. It was fast but they left Trump wide open if the shooter wanted another shot.

I'm wondering how this is going to impact his health. Dude already is on video needing to be led around by his son, taking a bullet that drew blood is not something a normal person Trump's age would be able to really recover from.

I also have to wonder how this is going to impact Trump. He survived by sheer luck here, otherwise he very likely would have died. He loves making public appearances but now the possibility somebody will be aiming a gun at him will live with him for the rest of his life.
