it was reportedly like 130 yards. military rifles are specced to, by definition, be accurate to 600 yards. the distance would be impossible for a pistol but for a rifle, especially in a prone position, should be incredibly easy. plus a stationary target, only in front of a podium.

even in home invasion at point blank range, you're taught to go for center body mass. 2-3 center body minimum, and only if you're sure and somehow have extra time and you have anything left, you try for the head. but you should mag dump 2-3. times before even trying for the head.
