Now Here's the million dollar question, who trained the assassin in sharpshooting? Someone earlier in the other thread explained the stats of the shot and it seems improbable that a first timer or a learn it yourself was able to make that near miss shot. Did he have any military training?

If you look at the wall behind the weirdo blonde (not the same hair color as the shooter), you can see the word, "Shadilay." I don't think a person referencing that would kill Trump.

Trump's would-be assassin missed at ~100 yards. Based on later reports, the shooter probably missed because the Secret Service counter-sniper team engaged him almost immediately. Hard to acquire a target when people are putting a rapid succession of big holes in your head.

Short version: Not enough information yet to know the shooter's experience level.

But only just now are 4 hour-old ABC News articles crossing my feed, admitting that this might have possibly been an assassination attempt. If I was more conspiratorially-minded, I'd say news spread of this is being suppressed across social media. I beg to differ. The road to revolution is littered with the bodies of martyrs and this assassination attempt heightens tensions at a point where people have long been speculating that a civil war could break out. Giving Trump the appearance of being under attack gives ordinary people who feel persecuted by the system in some way the impression that he stands for them. Whether or not that's true, people who feel hard done by will sympathize with him and this will translate into votes.

Granted, but that could be a pretty big ask. I don't shoot rifles often myself but the range I go to for my own practice is in a fairly conservative area and with fairly conservative people (That is, we'd like to conserve our shared values and the modest prosperity it's brought us, rather than a unified political position). If someone backed their truck up and climbed onto the cab to start doing their practice shots, at the very least they'd be told to leave. We're not snitches, but no one wants that kind of bullshit in their life.

Now, I can see a hunter with a tree stand having the opportunity to pull off this kind of work, but I think that the chances are high and outside that the would-be assassin/cadaver in this case came from that kind of background.

Because history sometimes rhymes, what's going on now in the US somewhat parallels the events leading up to the Spanish Civil War. Franco saw one of his closest allies, civilian opposition leader Calvo Sotelo, a Catholic monarchist, brutally assassinated by the communists during the wave of violence that took place following the (disputed) electoral victory of the Leftist Popular Front.
