.223 is perfectly fine to shoot 130 yards. This isn’t some William Tell derring do, but a very average kind of shot considering that yeah, his sights were probably set decent and he was shooting prone with a rest.
Like if I had to rate difficulty/execution, this was like a 5.5/10 for a civilian hobbyist shooter. Standard iron sights, one click at 100 yards moves the bullet one inch vertical. That’s a general sense of the resolution you’d be working with

So, before FOX News Digital released that information, the New York Post was the FIRST outlet (i repeat, the FIRST media outlet) to report the name "Thomas Matthew Crooks"
"The gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump Saturday was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, sources told The Post."
The New York Post mentioned the name 'Thomas Matthew Crooks' around an hour BEFORE all the other news outlets did. Some of us, myself included, assumed that the New York Post got duped by a Twitter troll named @jewgazing. It was a reasonable assumption, partly because the New York Post also INITIALLY erroneously reported that the wannabe assassin was Chinese. I had to edit my previous Clarification Post because my analysis was that the New York Post not only mistook the assassin as someone who is 'Chinese' (because they definitely made that mistake, see pic below) but that the New York Post foolishly got duped into thinking that the assassin's name was Thomas Matthew Crooks based on a faggot twitter troll named @jewgazing.

223 or 556 aren't gonna be affected at 150 metres. it's 1.5 football pitches. most rifles default to being zero'd at 200 and he had (what appears to be) a perfect vantage point.
