Yeah. Two shots from two guns, both of which misfired at close range. After the first shot Jackson allegedly charged his assassin, the second gun misfired as he approached, and then he beat the guy with his cane and was pulled off after the secret service had subdued the guy.

As someone has previously stated, the user that goes by the Twitter handle @jewgazing aka Thomas Matthew Crooks had previously made troll bait posts claiming to be the shooter and the New York Post decided to run with it. Once his story was spammed elsewhere after getting clout, the account was shortly privated, and a response video which me along with others has posted previously was created by him addressing the fact he was not the shooter. If anyone is wondering yes, the article itself is archived, and yes he is not the shooter.

An account that has been dormant since one edit in 2018 and the rest before that in 2010 got breached, edited Template: current_event to remove a redirect to a modern version, changed the template to code they made in their sandbox page to overwrite the actual article with pic related via the template's use in a way that even blanks out the contents of the page below the navbar, and when the account got blocked they added this to the user talk page:
