I think their supporters have missed that memo. I think their koolaid drinkers are more than happy to employ violence. Just look at Antifa. The Summer Of Love. They have 0 qualms about burning cities down and terrorizing citizens with their lackeys.

I don't know if you've seen the film, but in Sherlock Holmes 2 (The one with RDJ) he's trying to prevent a European war (WW1). While succesful, Moriaty says something along the lines of "Do you see people celebrating or cheering in that room (full of Europeans leaders). They want a war, all of them, it is inevitable"

It kind of reminds me of that. The whole world wants a war and there's nothing we can do to stop it. Trump being domed would have started it, for sure. That doesn't mean that the bullet missing will stop it.

Call me a faggot but I genuinely hope that Bidens health improves dramatically because he would be very easy to bump off and, in some sick twist of fate, many people on both sides would either want it, or not care that it happened.

This is definitely where I'm leaning. They didn't hire a movie hitman to do the job clean but let us look at what we know.

Trump has been requesting beefed up security, routinely denied. The head of the SS has deep ties to the Democratic party. Moves have been made to take away his security entirely. Every bit of rhetoric about Trump has been about how dangerous and evil he is. Wouldn't YOU kill Hitler if you had the chance, mentally ill young (wo)man!? FBI suddenly can't figure anything out about the guy, unlike every other shooter in the history of fucking ever, where we know their name, birthdate, and the last thing they had for breakfast usually within the first hour of any mass shooting.

Media was scrambling to downplay the nanosecond the shooting failed. I'd bet they had articles about Trump being assassinated pre-typed and ready to go. NYT capturing the bullet whizzing past his head feels staged... Until you realize it might have been meant to capture the bullet tearing through the Potus's skull. Imagine the rallying cry that would have been for the left? The demoralization that could have been?

Slow sniper response, lack of coverage on the roof, and the ignoring of direct warnings by visitors.

Probably wasn't an active attempt on the part of the powers that be... But they sure stacked the fucking deck in the dude's favor.

It makes zero sense to not have someone on the roof of that building the shooter took shots from, unless you don't have the manpower to place multiple teams and so decide one sniper on the roof nearest Trump is enough because nothing is likely to happen amd if it does irs someone managing to sneak a handgun through security.

My guess is that all the intentionally shrunk security detailing they forced on Trump is basically the 'well, we won't encourage someone to take a run at Trump, but we can make it easier if they do' standard fuckery of any vaguely slighted politician.

The average dem politician isn't going to want Trump assassinated no matter how much they hate the guy and want his extra body guards taken away, because they know if he gets got that they're all next. There's 100% reprisal attempts if Trump eats a bullet.

That being said, they're absolutely still responsible for this attempt even if not directly. They spent 10 years riling people up about how Trump would destroy America, and someone realizing Biden has no chance must have decided it was his duty to protect democracy. Wonder if we'll get a manifesto, it's unlikely some dude goes 'yeah I'm gonna shoot the president' and doesn't leave a paper trail.

No but that's similar, Chickenhawks are the people who really push for war but absolutely avoid anything with them or theirs touching it. This is more about worldview where they view themselves as the focal point of the world and as if only their rhetoric matters and nobody else exists.

If you believe all they care about is power then it all makes sense. If something has negative consequences for them they will rush to absolve themselves of any and all responsibility, if something has positive consequences for them they'll take full advantage of the situation. The Democrats always want to have their cake and eat it and the only standard they have is the double standard. Principles are only a concern when they are convenient to have or not have.

Its more of an angle thing. Sniper would have been looking at him almost dead on.
Again from my understanding/experience of how such things go down:
Sniper: "I have a guy with a gun"
CQ: "Are you 100% positive its a gun."
Sniper: "No, he has something black, hes looking down it like its a gun, and he's in a spot where the only possible reason he'd be there would be to have a gun and shoot it at people"
CQ: "Please hold and observe until positive ID can be made. Team is moving in for a closer look."

This is 100% correct.
Also it would be USSS or contractors. USSS doesn't trust LEO for ops unless its the biggest of the big boys like NYC/LAPD, who have integration teams due to working with USSS a lot.
