It’s possible that this affected the response. But the response is pretty typical from all other attempted shootings. There wasn’t two minorities or women on the roof getting eyes on the shooter.

Furthermore, most active threats to presidents that utilize firearms are on the ground and they try to get as close as possible.

You have to remember that the SS isn’t a bunch of cowboys. The have to confirm a threat is lethal. They don’t just shoot people because it looks suspicious. SS engages with people that jump the White House fence and will risk getting shot themselves to apprehend a person who could be extremely dangerous.

I’m not ready to blame DEI on this. I’m perfectly ready to blame whomever was doing ground control, which many times is with the help of local PD. In time we’ll get more details. I think it’s too soon to draw any conclusions.

I'd have to go back to check, but I'm pretty sure that was the first person whose name came up in the thread before Thomas Crooks was even mentioned. That dude is in his 30s and was arrested for violence at a rally 4 years ago when Crooks would have only been 16. I'm guessing that site got the two mixed up and has some details of both. It's pretty unlikely that Crooks would have connections with chapters of Antifa on the other side of the country at dates/times (particularly the 2021 Minnesota dates) where he'd still be in high school.
