I largely praised the CNN and NBC coverage last night but I'm flipping around the networks now and since the shock has worn off they're already pivoting back to both sidesing and how January 6th set the stage for this. Yesterday could have been a pivot point for legacy media to start regaining at least a shred of credibility but they unsurprisingly double down.

The best thing that you can hope for is that people become increasingly disillusioned and skeptical of news outlets. The whiplash between the coverage yesterday and today will make less people trust them.

This really is what struck me as the biggest take away from this whole thing. I don't care about about Trump or Biden winning. The older I get, the more I realize the political system will just do whatever it wants, and it doesn't matter too much who's in office. A man was this close to having his head blown off on live TV and a whole collection of people are upset it didn't happen. Oh by the way some other guy was literally killed, and peoples biggest concern is what is everyones political affiliation involved.

I was out on my porch last night, watching some families walking around the neighborhood just thinking. Reflecting on how people are just disgusting. It just so happens to be "democrats" that are chanting for blood this time. It's just exhausting to see people so fucking terrible.

Is there any evidence (i.e. arrest records, archived social media posts, etc) supporting the claim I keep seeing that Thomas Crooks was "a member of 4 different Antifa organizations" and was involved in rioting in multiple West Coast cities, or did someone just pull this out of their ass? At this point, I think we need a thread on the shooter to centralize all of the discussion happening in different threads on this site so people aren't constantly reposting the same pieces of info over and over again.

If that is true, the level of incompetence by everyone involved is just incredible. They knew a guy was up on the roof overlooking the event. They don't have the snipers zeroed in on him. They send officer dumbass up the ladder to have a talk with the fella about why he is up on that there roof.

He points a rifle at officer dumbass who runs away. The counter snipers are not looking at the roof with the guy on it. And he takes a shot at Trump that nearly hits him.

If true (and this is the AP saying this), it almost points to them having a policy of not aggressively dealing with potential threats and letting a sniper get off the first shot before responding.

I think this event and the debate are causing a lot of people to really reexamine their views on the media.

First the MSM tells everyone Biden is strong, alert and on the ball then they see the debate and go WTF was that? They're told he was just tired, he had a cold so they say ok...maybe?

Now they're seeing the media saying things like we all saw. Loud noises, shooter dead, victims and violence at Trump rally and so on. Then they see the videos, which are everywhere, and go...WTF?

This is the second time in less then a week where the MSM has openly, plainly, deliberately told the American public to not believe their lying eyes. To only believe what they say happened. To not watch the video, that its it's really Trump who is to blame for this violence when they all saw and read the tweets and saw the Dems talking heads on ABC and MSCBN calling for extreme action to stop Trump. it's easy to ignore it once and awhile. The spin doctors can swing that but so many times over such a short period. Even the dullest nonbeliever must have doubts by now.


I have some hope that this week's events will speed up the death of the legacy media, every person who saw those retarded headlines then watched the event videos will be that much more wary, that much more reluctant to trust and engage with the media. they will start to question more, seek out other sources and most importantly, they wont click. No more clicks, no more ad money no more media and their lying shills.
