We almost need some sort of wiki system, where threads will have an associated article that summarizes the discussion and points out all the things and how they were confirmed or disputed.

Have you seen the posts about all of the Wikipedio sperging concerning this?

Now tell me with a straight face what you think an autism magnet like that wouldn't make Wikipedia look sane and civilized by comparison.

It also wouldn't stop the retards who are intentionally shitposting or trolling from doing that anyways, so even if it weren't a dumpster fire it still wouldn't stop any of our future pink triangle recipients from being complete speds.

Near as I can tell the shooter got to the roof with a ladder so presumably the cop checked up there the same way.
When someone points a gun at your head as you go up a ladder your ability to pull a gun and put a bullet into them is hindered slightly by being on a ladder.
He didn't need to confront the shooter. Even firing at the ground would have drawn sniper attention to that location.

An AI that could do it would be cool but probably not feasible
Or we could just keep shitposting and sneeding and stickering on

As our spergfathers did

Wikipedia has an aleged goal of being neutral and factual and limits the sources it allows.
A Kiwiki could link to the posts itself alongside the relevant links and files they provide, and if there are conflicting viewpoints it can just show both side by side. The Kiwiki pages would be more about summarizing the thread and it's discoveries.

This thread is making me genuinely depressed when I read the twitter posts and general opinion of random nobodies posted. The Irreparable differences between "right" and "left" (us vs them) and genuine inability to separate politics from common life seems to be more extreme everyday. It feels like there the only final solution is complete civil war between the two parties. Democrats seem to have grasped that this almost sparked said event today with Biden immediately doing damage control and stating we should "come together" and "tone down the rhetoric used".

Am I wrong in feeling this way? Was politics always like this before 2016? Any thoughts regarding would be appreciated.

The desperation in the misinformation being spread is astounding, people trying to claim it wasn't his donation despite the fact it's the exact same address as the shooter
Yeah for anyone still confused about the donation, you can look it up on the FEC website. It's the exact name, Thomas Crooks, and the exact same home address, 2506 Milford Drive. The source of the confusion is that he put down "Pittsburgh" for some reason, so that's what shows up when you just look at the search results without pulling up the actual receipt. Bethel Park is a suburb of Pittsburgh.

no it wasn't like this before 2016. extremism is enhanced by social media and its largely perpetrated by bots.

Interesting quote from the FBI according to Business Insider:

"At this time, we have no indication of mental health issues," Rojek said. "Our primary focus is on the phone. We are working to get access to the phone."

No mental health issues? Sure, whatever you say, FBI. That seems believable. They're setting up for whatever political motive they're going to pretend he had.

I'm half expecting this bullshit soon:
"See? He was radicalized by the right wing! He shot Trump for not being right wing enough! Didn't you see the gun channel shirt? Trump has divided the Republican party! This is why you should only ever vote for career politicians and nothing should ever change!"

Godwins law used to have actual influence online. Once either side broke out the Hitler comparison they would be given the gong. TDS ended that, but it was under siege for a while before.

We do: the Highlight system. Use the arrows next to the Highlight text to skip highlights until you’re caught up.

It was bad, but not on this level. Political shitposting and shitflinging always happened, but back then (long before the current year+9) both sides usually returned to the negoiation table before things had a chance to get violent.

its weird how breadtubers and ppl are trying to twist this as a
"republican on republican crime"

and dismissing the fact that every donation that shooter made is to blue parties.
Not weird at all. The left desperately wants to distance themselves from this because of the repercussions this can and will have. So they're grasping at anything they can and hoping that people don't dig deeper into the shooter's history.
