The RNC Convention speech is Trump's big opportunity to show his human side, a side that a lot of Trump supporters have already seen countless times, but a side that the media has refused to show.

And, I also agree: The support from his base has totally maxed out. This is a big chance to max out his support from Independents.

This doesn't mean that I want Trump to start mincing words, or start acting like a stereotypical spineless Republican, don't get me wrong. The convention is pretty much going to be his biggest stage of the campaign, so changing his speech in light of everything that had just happened to him ... Yeah, now is the time to do a speech like this.

I also think the American people need an optimistic speech, after so many years of fucked up things happening and escalating.

I'm honestly worried that the feds will try for a round 2. They're backed in a corner here.

The Democrats won't allow that to happen. They can't have everyone unite.

More importantly, the elites desperately do not want everyone to realize who has been raping them for sixteen years straight now

I think they've slipped the leash. That the people that had control over them either never had full control or have lost it. The same mindset that drove a 20 year old kid to try and take out Trump is repeated in almost all of these types' minds due to Epistemic Closure.

Watch for another attempt this week at the convention, or open violence including weapons or pipebombs. Remember, in the 70s, the equivalent of Anitfa set off 2000+ pipe bombs a year trying to spark the communist revolution they thought the entire country supported. If they're seeing their chance at that slip away yet again, possibly for their entire lives, they're going to be extremely dangerous in the near to mid future.

Even those 70s radical movements were groomed by progressive activists halfway between the Roosevelt Democrats and various socialist movements, the same kind of community organizers who helped with the Summer of Love and other popular hits. They got their organizing expertise from former Trotskyists and inner city radicals. They were convenient footsoldiers to attack the old order, but their radicalization didn't stop at attacking people like Bull Connor, they soon wanted their Maoist youth takeover. A lot of them were eventually taken down in police shootouts, and their movements went away for a few decades. They later snuck back into prominence through the college system (Angela Davis in maybe the best known example), and they have brought up a new generation of scum.

All I'm saying is if you do a job, you should finish the job. There will be a day when these snakes will do the "why can't we all be friends, you wouldn't harm me, would you UwU?" routine and try to slither away into their dark cracks where they may lay their eggs.

It's no accident that Trump was almost taken out after years of them running agitprop painting him as a Hitler-like existential threat. They very much knew what they were doing with that propaganda, or at least someone pulling the strings did. Whether they were prepared for the outcome or not is a different story of course.

I think the desperation from the elites in power will go through the roof if he nails that speech, and I wonder if news networks will let the potential ratings overcome their hatred of him.

America needs to hear words of unity after that near close call, and they can only come from Trump himself.

Gives a great perspective into how it was there. The fact that the shooter was clearly there visibly and the cops/ss did nothing even though there was clearly a gunman visible makes me jittered. They could have easy shot the guy, but they only did anything after President Trump was shot.

It's hard to judge intraocular distance and forehead width because the photo of the dead guy shows him resting at an angle, but the outline of the nose and lips is an obvious mismatch for Crooks and an obvious match for Yearick.
