If it makes you feel any better, the "normies" in my family that don't really follow politics picked up that the media called him a "republican" when its very obvious that he wasn't. They picked it out right away. His mildly lefty significant other called bullshit on it, too.
I think the amount of people who are going to fall for the "He's a Republican!" are only going to be the "true believers" that still trust the media completely, and after all the COVID shit that number isn't nearly as high as one would expect.

We aren't arguing over whether the face on the left looks like the face on the right. We are arguing over whether the face on the left or right look like the face in the center. Why is the eye color different, you ask? The guy in the center image has closed eyes. You can't tell the eye color. Obviously, you don't even understand what we're talking about.
And, since you asked about the eyes, that's the weird part. The eyebrow shape of the perp is a closer match to Crooks' eyebrows. They're thinner than Yearick's. Yearick also has a narrower glabella gap between the eyebrows, and a noticeable gap in his right eyebrow. However, the actual eye shape itself is a closer match to Yearick. Crooks has slightly wider eyes from corner to corner, with a drooping superior palpebral sulcus with a tighter crease. The dead guy's eye looks very much like what Yearick's eye would look like if closed, with the skin of the upper eyelid drawn taut.
Also, who the fuck is the fist pumping guy supposed to be? None of his features are a match for Crooks' from the other photo. The eye color is different and they're closer together, not to mention the shape of his upper eyelids is completely different. The jawline is different. There are pronounced philtrum ridges and a Cupid's Bow on the face on the right, but not the left. The septum is lower. The eyebrows are completely different. The pattern of moles is different. The head shape is different; narrower at the top. These could not conceivably be the same face.
Trust me they will find a way to out do Trump. Give them enough time and they will.

Here's the thing though... You can't really rely on the highlights feature too much on this site, because there are genuine posts in threads that are very well thought out and informative that DON'T get noticed or become popular enough to be highlighted so they get lost inside a bunch of throw-away posts.
Like let's be real, half of the shit that get's highlighted are memes that people either found or made that other people really liked.
And yes I'm still THAT far behind and will continue to read all the pages, goddammit!!

Just to add to this, for anyone who doubts people don't actually register the opposite party for primary purposes, a lot of people do it and forget about it. Heck, I know people who used to do this. They used to set-up tables on their college campus and they would teach people to do this to fuck over the party because primary's have low attendance and their votes matter more. People never thought twice about it and registered.
