That photo was the first one on that page, now they've done their magic and cropped it and put it right at the bottom of the article. Current discussion is that it should be removed because he "looks too much like a tough guy" and it's "irrelevant to the event"

I sincerely don't understand why they'd bother. Are they trying to hide it even happened or something? Literally the entire country knows it happened. No one's gonna forget any time soon. Hell, Trump will probably mention it somewhat frequently at least until the voting actually happens.

The thing is, they already know they can push the news cycle on overdrive and gin up new outrage. Look at how COVID lockdowns are nearly forgotten; the left cheered while people were forced to suffer and endure humiliation yet that appears to be wholly absent from public dialogue.

If he was radicalized by r/politics and twitter, that's way worse than having ties to some kind of extremist group. I wonder if that isn't what the feds are hiding. Then again, maybe he just had a brain tumor or something else out of left field.

This latest banner advertisement takes up three quarters of the screen, and Brave's built-in adblocker doesn't work on it, even on the most aggressive setting ("aggressively block trackers & ads").

Has anyone else gotten this one lately? Does anyone know of any extensions that can block it?

They don't need the money, as many others have said, and haven't for well over 10 years. Their server costs are in the millions for such a high traffic site, but they bring in well north of that. Any money given to them is going to go to some scam non-profit.
