Why do people keep forgetting that, despite being at odds with the Democrat establishment, Gabbard is basically a Bernie Bro?
The only part of her platform that differs significantly from the Bernster is that she cares more about vets.
People keep forgetting because she's a MILF. Situational awareness is low.

JD Vance is a pretty bad pick in my opinion. I don't understand the thought process of picking him of all the people like Carson, Scott, Burgum, or Youngkin? Who does Vance appeal to other than the people who were already decisively voting for Turmp?
From a strategic electoral standpoint there's an argument for a swing state guy like Youngkin, otherwise it's better probably to just pick someone young and exciting who wants to run with you and who will be on board with your agenda (and who isn't too far outside the middle when it comes to abortion).

I was the one and I want to note Trump Jr's role would not be to run and -win-. It is to run and -filter-. He has the same ideas and rough policies as his dad but more than that he is a firebrand. While lacking his father accumen, the man sincerely believes in the message. So his role would be to run and be ran against in the primaries. Ensuring anyone who gets the nomination has to actually earn voter support and argue for populist messaging.

In short, and somewhat nerdily, he is setting himself up as the final boss for whoever whishes to be Trump's successor.
So in this hypothetical scenario, do you think it would hurt Jrs far future prospects (2032? 2036?) to run for 2028 and lose to Vance or someone else?

Won't he be way too green to run in 2028 anyway?

That’s not a bad thing. He does have more charisma and potential than Pence ever had. That’s not to say he can’t easily fuck it up, but he has a huge opportunity.

I wasn’t a big fan of him but he has a lot of potential for the party. The Republicans need some non-crazy (with less baggage) younger statesman to move the party forward. The Dems are mired in geriatrics and their dedication to race and gender wars is causing a total breakdown in their ability to build future candidates.

If the RNC can cultivate candidates that aren’t the MTG’s and Boebert types, they have a huge opportunity to dominate races for years. The Dems have nothing but infighting and backstabbing which is why they are stuck with Biden and Harris, neither of which have any future. It’s astounding how the DNC has nothing for the foreseeable future.
Even better is the only recent realization that their "fringe" favorites were mere hacks and sellouts. They've lost what favor they curried with their more radical elements.
I wanted it to be Tulsi for like extra unifier optics
I had assumed that would be on the table, and perhaps it was, but it matters little now. I had some hope it would be Allen West for antagonism and machismo purposes, but Vance may serve a positive purpose.

I don't actually think Jr has much interest in being President, actually. His interest seems focused on helping to ensure his father's legacy continues. Out of all Trump's children Trump junior seems the most aware of his own limitations and where his weaknesses are, and seems content to work to his level of competence but not beyond. I respect the man for that.

None of this matters at all. You are entering a Russian Federation era of politics. Appealing to voters is no longer a thing.
