2. He was a fed plant and the entire thing was orchestrated to kill Trump, but failed.

If he was a fed plant, I want to know what their plan was after Trump was killed. The assassination would still kill any chance of a Democrat president, so were they planning to put one of their RINOs in charge of the RNC and switch teams?

First and foremost, embracing the Constitution and the foundations in which the United States was formed.

Speaking English, because having a national language is vital for any nation. I don't care if people are able to speak other languages, but every American should know English. In order to have a functioning Nation, we all need to be able to communicate with each other.

No more of this "open borders" shit.

Embracing a culture that knows right from wrong, and good from evil. No more of this postmodern bullshit that has convinced so many people that morality is objective.

A return to emphasis on the importance of FAMILY.

This isn't so much criteria for Western civilization as it is Anglo-American civilization. There's a distinction to be made here. Regarding language policy I agree that everyone should be able to at least be conversant in English in the US, but I think when it comes to 'official' languages that should be left to the states (which it more or less is, now). Organically multilingual areas like Louisiana with Cajun French and Texas with Texdeutch and Tejano Spanish as well as northern New Mexico's Hispano Spanish should have their local historical languages preserved since they're very much a part of the overall heritage of both the country and their respective states. Quite frankly I don't think enough has been done to ensure that the remaining non-English heritage languages of the US are preserved - Texas German is on its last legs if something doesn't change, unfortunately. I'm 100% with you when it comes to no open borders shit and would prefer if the deportations of illegals start yesterday. One thing I wish the US had more of is an emphasis on the extended family rather than the atomized nuclear family or whatever the fuck tries to masquerade as one these days.

The RNC convention so far has been pretty terrible.

Only two speakers so far spent any time on the economy... Noem (the dog killer) and Byron Donalds. Byron's speech was about as Starbucks basic as you can get. Noem's was a bit better.

The Teamsters president was a huge letdown, delivering a long Dear Members letter, when he could have been far more powerful and also get some of the trades on the stage with him. He could have brought one of the truck driver union presidents with him. His presence was effective for political nerds and for the rest of the labor management sphere but not for the voter laity.

And not that much direct selling of the party itself in any of the speeches, just sloganeering. I guess that's to be expected in the Culture War Era.
