Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Because I'm getting told by people how Torbin in episode 7 is actually a 'masterful' depiction of mental illness, but his deal just seems to be he hated camping and didn't like getting mind fucked.
Not wanting to be stuck on some shithole planet collecting grass and stones is not mental illness, it's actually quite normal.

Honestly, Solo's problem was that it was just so incredibly forgettable. Plus you couldn't really have a character arc for Han since it already happens in the Original Trilogy.
So why they thought making a movie focused on him was a good idea I have no clue, there just wasn't a lot of material in the first place. It would've worked better if he was a side character or something tbh and the story focused on someone else.
Solo exists solely to justify those stupid dice in TLJ. It also used a cartoon voice actor for Maul, which is unforgivable.

Tbf though I and a lot of other people really fucking enjoy Sam Witwer's performance as Maul.
But the fucked up thing about that is apparently Maul was originally meant to be voiced by Peter Serafinowicz they recorded his lines and everything but then replaced him with Sam in the final cut. And they didn't even fucking tell him until after the fact. I thought that was a bit fucking rude when I heard. (Referring to Solo of course.)

Sam is really good at the slightly unhinged evil guy (which he has played a lot), so natch. I get that people complain about Maul returning, but the arcs were both fun and he plays him well enough that I was more than willing to forgive a little silliness (it is Star Wars after all).

Heads up, the Dice Scum crew are going to be reviewing one of the West End Games sourcebooks tonight. It's the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook. We start around 8:45 PM EST.

What's the supposed rumours for episode 8 doing the dumbest thing yet? Yoda appears? Or just an educated guess that the show surely will get worse?

My contacts deep inside Lucasfilm who are definitely NOT shitposters on /tv/ have told me that they will make Yaddle transgender and that Ohsa will have a statue in the Jedi Temple. Yoda will NOT appear because Dave Filoni is not allowing Leslye Headland to use him which is a huge WIN for him in the Lucasfilm civil war! They also told me that if Acolyte doesn't get better ratings than Andor then Kathleen Kennedy will be FIRED and replaced by Dave Filoni! Ladies and gentlemen, we have WON the Lucasfilm civil war and Star Wars is saved!

These ghouls make it really, really hard to try and separate the art from the artist.
You can't, at all now. I think I'll never watch the OT just because Mark's in them. He's not in much else, so I can avoid him.

This is nuts. I'm not sad, or angry, just relieved. This whole series with all these people, Lucasfilm and all, just need to go away and shut down forever.

I have a lot of other Hamill collectibles I'd donate, I don't want that dirty money now but I also don't want to pass it on. So they'll go in the trash soon too.

The Acolyte Is Proof That Star Wars Needs Fewer Fans At The Helm

  • Star Wars: The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland controversially revealed that she wanted non-fans in the writer's room to keep things approachable.
  • It worked. The Acolyte is one of the few seasons of Star Wars television that isn't wrapped up in lore and easter eggs, alienating newcomers.

I shit you not, this is how they think.

It's really a unique type of pants-on-fire retarded that comes from having your head so far up your ass that you can see what you had for breakfast.
