My thought was blow the car, chaos ensues. People are already screaming, not paying attention to anything but trying to run. Whip out the rifle and fire on the stage from the ground while SS is distracted then try to disappear into the crowd before they see him, or at the very least be in the crowd so they hesitate to shoot

I assume he wouldn't have been able to get into the venue itself with a rifle but were there crowds outside? I guess that's kind of an important detail that my idea for his plan would hinge on

i've seen several instances of earlier news stories saying that Crooks did things that would paint him as right leaning, and then a later news source interviewing people who directly deny that Crooks did that right leaning thing

"Crooks tried to join varsity shooting team" becomes "we don't even have a varsity shooting team"

"Crooks' family house had Trump flags" becomes "i don't remember seeing any political flags on their property ever"

"Crooks wore hunting outfits" becomes "he always wore business casual clothing"

"Crooks had conservative views" becomes "Crooks never really shared any political views"

"Crooks was regular, normal, if shy kid" becomes "i couldn't tell if he was a guy or a girl"

some of it is fog of war, but i'm convinced that the feds found nothing but radical leftist propaganda on his phone and are refusing to release important info and muddying the truth to prevent more violence. exactly like with Audrey Hale

More conflicting information about the political views of Thomas Crooks, the Trump shooter.

Former classmate recalls Trump shooter grilling him over support for former POTUS: 'Did not like politicians'​

BETHEL PARK, Pa. – A former classmate of would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks says the 20-year-old gunman once mocked him over his support of former President Donald Trump and had a general disdain for mainstream politicians across the political aisle.

"I brought up the fact that I'm Hispanic and, you know, I'm for Trump. And he said, 'Well, you're Hispanic, so shouldn't you hate Trump?'" Vincent Taormina told Fox News Digital Tuesday. "No. He's great. He was a great president. He called me stupid – or insinuated that I was stupid."

It happened during a discussion in an English class at Bethel Park High School during the 2016 campaign, he said. Trump, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders were all still in the race.

"He just did not like politicians, especially with the choices that we had," Taormina said. "He did not like our politicians."

Taormina that Crooks was usually quiet, except on certain topics that he seemed passionate about, including math and politics. And on those issues, he could be "smug [and] arrogant," he added.

"He would just talk, talk and act like he knew everything, especially politics related, and he would say it in a tone that was like, 'I'm better than you,' in a type of way," he said.

He also pushed back on reporting that Crooks was a complete loner. He had a friend group, he said, although it was both small and concerning.

"They were definitely the type, and they did, make threats to shoot up our school," he said.

Although he and other classmates suspected Crooks himself was behind a threat, he said he had no firm proof. But after the threat came in, the future would-be assassin didn't return to school for a few days.

Crooks, 20, killed a 50-year-old father of two named Corey Comperatore, critically wounded David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, according to authorities. He struck the former president in his right ear.

Secret Service counter-snipers "neutralized" Crooks at the scene, authorities said. Images show him lying dead on a rooftop less than 150 yards from where Trump had been speaking.

After the rumors began swirling, Crooks' demeanor changed, Taormina said. He got quieter and stopped confronting people about politics.

But he had enough friends, Taormina argued, that someone must've seen a red flag along the line

"Everybody, anybody who knew him-knew him, should have seen something," he said. "They should have known something was up, and I know it's kind of easy to hide, but people are going to get their affairs in order before they do something that's bold and this drastic, and nobody saw it? And why?"

Authorities have said Crooks had no criminal history and no documented mental illnesses. The murder weapon was purchased legally by his father in 2013.

A federal investigation into his motives and potential help is continuing, with the FBI analyzing his laptop, cellphone and rifle as well as interviewing dozens of witnesses.

Edit : I also want to add/reiterate another point someone mentioned specifically in Destiny's case. He (or anyone else) could have chosen to badmouth Trump for surviving or the victims of the failed assassination attempt anonymously if he wanted to but instead chose not to. Doesn't make it right if it was done anonymously, but the whole point of being anonymous is to get away saying dumb, distasteful stuff like that. These people only have themselves to blame when they happen to say things that piss people off out in the open.

I’m sick of political entanglement everywhere.

I don’t give a fuck about Ben & Jerry’s opinion on the Middle East. I don’t care about Tractor’s supply view on climate change. I couldn’t care less if Chic-Fil-A has a stance on gay marriage.

Likewise, i don’t care if the cashier at Walmart posts neo-nazi memes or calls for forced vaccinations online.

I just don’t give a shit. Are they doing something illegal? No? Then are they doing their job. That’s all I care about. I wish we got to a place where corporations stopped giving a shit about everything but their product and didn’t feel the need to have DEI or socjus shit in the first place. I HAVE A DREAM where individuals don’t have to care about the shitposts of the person selling them ice cream or chicken sandwiches.

I’d love to see these toxic policies and HR/DEI departments defanged and dismantled. And maybe this will help. I just assumed it’d be like a snake. You’d have to cut off the head - the toxic leadership and cultural makers that make this shit possible. Otherwise, they’ll just get a quieter but just as toxic tyrant leading the HR department. which in some ways is even worse.

Could I be wrong? Yeah. Would it feel good to watch some of these petty tyrants fall from grace and lose everything? Definitely.

But either way, I’ll just sit and watch it play out with the rest.

It makes sense that he'd have Trump signs in his yard, his dad is a Libertarian, isn't he? He was found dead on the roof in a Demolition Tee and camo pants, we have videos of him acting like a little chud talking about his 10" dick. But again, he was only 20.

I think what's making everyone so fucked up is that this guy doesn't have a manifesto, he didn't have a proclamation and we're used to that. Trump rolled up in his town and he took advantage of the situation. Everything points to him planning for a future and then seeing this happening and just saying fuck it.

I definitely believe that he probably got brainrotted during COVID, a lot of these kids did. I've had friends that would come to me and say AHA, HE WAS REGISTERED REPUBLICAN. Like it means something. He hasn't even participated in an election yet, maybe a primary? Unsure. He was just really young, and not a lot of history for us to lean on.

Though the same people that'll go AHA will do that for the old Democrat registered guy that was shot at the Trump rally, and comb through his Twitter to find Trump memes and judge him as a shit person. Some people just aren't terminally online, kid might have been a bit of a Kaczynski.

A day late and a dollar short is the most I agree, which I really don't. The Deep State do not act with the understanding that failure or second order effects even exist, which we saw with their sanctions on Russia. They just assumed that Russia would collapse and all it did was get them to work with China, undoing Nixon's greatest diplomatic win. Likewise, they just assumed Trump would die, cry a few crocodile tears, and then continue on with their plans. They didn't foresee the Right would finally fight back with the exact same intensity of the Left or that Leftist speech now comes with consequences.
