President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19, according to the president and CEO of UnidosUS Janet Murguía.

Biden was expected to speak at the group’s conference in Las Vegas Wednesday night.

“I was just on the phone with President Biden. And he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon. The president has been at many events as we all know and he just tested positive for Covid,” Murguía told attendees.

Biden, 81, had been scheduled to take the stage an hour and a half prior.

CNN has reached out to the Biden campaign and the White House for comment.

Thinking about it, it might actually be much simpler that some scheme to off Biden for his bad optics. I think the threat of him dropping out is very real from what I’ve been talking about with people IRL. Mainstream media is putting the optimism spin on it while taking the stupidest approach to cut the knees of Trump’s appeal. Just the stupidity I’d expect from the Biden media team.

The entirety of the RNC will wrap up with Trump as a hero of America while Biden will be nonexistent to even attend the DNC, let alone reassure delegates and pacs for the rest of the time up until then. The whole party is officially on fire and I expect a lot of fears will come out tomorrow.

This is most certainly the first step in stepping down from the presidential nomination. He’ll use illness in conjunction with his age to save face and gracefully hand the reigns over to Harris.

The Democrats have kinda fucked themselves by betting on Trump being inadmissible for presidential candidacy because Biden has fucking dementia and Harris, the only other horse in the race, polls worse than Biden on any given day of the week. They now have 4 months to make Kamala Harris a more appealing firebrand candidate that can galvanize the American public than Donald Trump. Even if she rides the wave of girl power, it still won’t be enough.

Trump’s already won and the democratic party knows it. At least Joe can now bow out and maintain his legacy without accepting a full on loss due to dementia.
