They don't have a choice. The abortion that was the "primary" in which the party iced Trump out and the disastrous tenure of speaker McArthy ended the internal resistance to Trump within the national party.

The State level parties were in lock step and the national party had to kneel. The entire roster or the Washington Generals are out and the convention is in control again. Trump did it, he has gained control of the party and this is a coronation.

God save the King.

Cenk is back on the Biden bus. What epiphany he had during the debate is gone now. Probably he was taken aside and told that if he doesn't get back on the trolley the money spigot will be cut off. TYT gets most of it's money thru...more interesting paths lets say.

If Cenk won't toe the party line then he's of no use to the party and now it's been made clear to him. Which is kinda a shame. Over the last week I thought Cenk was going to make a bit of a break, he seemed on the verge of seeing that the DNC is just more of the same shit that he's been hating on but like so many other people..the money is the most important thing. And I guess I don't really blame him much, he always was a small minded man so it was only a matter of time until he crept back under his masters leash.

It's more comfortable with the leash on...right Cenk?

Dude. What the fuck does that even mean? She keeps saying it like it's some profound moving statement. I keep saying it over and over in my head trying to derive meaning and it just comes off as typical Kamala verbal diarrhea.

The party can't really do shit about it though and even if Joe listens to them in the afternoon, there's no clear way of telling if he'll even remember talking to them by the evening. If they try to push him out and he doesn't want to leave, it will make things even worse for them. He has absolutely no reason to care about them or what they want and he's going to listen to his family before anyone else.

The big thing to do will be to develop some sort of consistent doctrine or agenda everyone can adhere to or stand by. Currently everything right now flows through Trump. He's a very rare type of politician that doesn't come along very often.

Political movements centered around one person historically speaking from time to time have issues surviving in the long-term. There will come a point where another will have to take the reins.

Ideally Trump can continue to exert influence over the GOP even after his second term concludes. After all, the GOP voter base is his base now, not the party's. If they step out of line he can choose to endorse more pro-Trump challengers and replace them.

My father texted me that J.D. Vance reminded him of how Obama was 2004 when he made his debut at the DNC. Young, energetic, attractive, very alert, and well received by the crowd.

I was hesitant on him before but Vance makes me excited for the future of the party.
