It's real. The photographer used his camera in burst mode, and took around 30 pictures a second, same as at sporting events. At that rate you can see bullets, albeit heavily distorted; the elongation is due to the shutter being open long enough to pick up the bullet over a length of its path. Faster cameras would get a shorter, more clear bullet.
I take for granted that not everyone knows this stuff. What WhiskeyJack outlined is accurate.

Even 15 years ago when Sony rolled out its hybrid DSLR with composite, fixed mirrors any consumer willing to spend around 400 bucks would have been able to use a comperable burst mode setting. It was great tech and still is unless you're a lens snob... which you should be.

Regardless, burst modes and fixed mirror tech have only gotten better and cheaper. The photographers in question almost certainly had large format cameras but even with a decent quality medium format you could get a shot like this (blurry bullet frozen mid-flight) if you had the wherewithal to get yourself into a good position.

Off topic: Usually 90% of photography comes down to the photographer and not the equipment. This is legitimately a unique situation where the skill of the photographer is perhaps tied with the quality of the equipment. I generally wouldn't consider burst mode shots a mark of skill and the guy that took the picture was likely given his location in advance. Any dunce can hold a button, take 250 pictures in 30 seconds from a predetermined location and pick out the best one later. But in settings like this you find little artistry. This is the way it is done. and understandably so!

But after this picture was snapped? During the ensuing chaos and fear? Those pictures are definitely dripping with some real art seeing as the photographers were aware that they were also at risk.

Anyway yes. Very very likely to be a real picture taken that day. Most of us in that photographer's place could have taken the exact same shot.

>RNC niggas when Trump takes them to the shed and says "Listen here, we are gonna fucking win this and that means a unified message."

Isn't this what the DNC does? They always fall in line with the party and unify around a message. Has been the case since pretty much 1992.

In honor of JD Vance's unremarkable Indian wife I will be getting Indian takeaway this week
This made me laugh. And now I really want to know if there is a general boost in sales at Indian restaraunts in the coming week due to a subconcious (or in your case, concious) craving for it. Kind of like how you could track Covid spread through the reviews on Yankee Candles for a bit....because so many people complained that they didnt have a scent lol. Data is fun sometimes.

Hey, this remake is already better than the original.

Well, being a fan of Stephen King does warrant contempt.

> a-at least the Harry Potter books were good though

"No!"

The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

Yes but, Trump doesn't understand. How does this help them lose with dignity? And won't all this politics business get in the way of the bribes, kickbacks, and influence peddling? It's like he doesn't understand the first thing about what being in office means.

Gayle Ruzicka, who has been attending conventions since 1992 and served on multiple platform committees, said the participants had been told the evening before that there would be subcommittee meetings. Instead, she said, delegates were handed what they were told was a draft on Monday. She said that after roughly two hours and no amendments considered, the draft was ratified in full. "It was not honest, and that was what bothered me,"
Trump will have secured my vote for the republican party for a long time if he continues to steamroll over these old school conservative religious assholes and it sticks after he's out of office

whatever party finally tells religious extremists to BTFO, whether that's trannies or fundies, will be a breath of fresh air for a lot of people

Politics are so hard to follow.
Not really. It's basically like any other drama tv show. Hell, at this point it's like old WWE without the physical violence.

You come for the entertainment and eventually you'll pick up what's actually going on from other people around you that are more knowledgeable about this kind of stuff.

Be careful what you wish for.

The left says that if you let in one immigrant, you have to let in a billion, because limits are discriminatory.
Nah. Robert Reich gave up the goose yesterday when he posted that there are "1.3 million undocumented construction workers" building our houses. The democrats never changed their views on slavery, just who they wanted to use for slave labor.

You might think you hate these people enough. You do not.
Anyone that is able to get the first magazine cover will have to preserve it.

I didn't get a chance to watch Vance's speech at the convention last night. Did Vance address his earlier anti-Trump stance at all?
He addressed it in full the day Trump announced him:
5:22

I think we all were anti Trump at some point
Speak for yourself.

pictures attached of more face analysis. autistic slapfight about face structure, go!
They don't look anything like each other. Even just comparing to his picture on the day of the shooting, it's obvious to me they don't look the same.

Some leaked communication between the slimy journos apparently said that "the publications using that photo are giving Trump free PR and it is dangerous for media organizations to keep sharing it despite how good it is." Because showing a man triumphantly surviving an assassination attempt is dangerous. This fully aligns with my expectations. They will try to bury and memory hole the assassination, they will hide the image as much as possible. We won't see it in the history books, because they will argue that this attempt was not notable enough to mention except in passing due to him not being president at the time and only getting winged in the ear. As soon as they can feasibly push the news cycle away from the assassination attempt, they'll never speak of it again.

The odds ive been tracking to win 2024 presidency have been flipping all over the place obviously the last couple of weeks.
biden and kamala were about even for a while but biden is back at +1400 and kamala has plummeted to like +5000. with 3 or 4 other democrats in front of her
It speaks volumes about Kamala when the f'ing Congressional Black Caucus doesn't even want her as the candidate.
