I think the challenge would be getting the Dems to go for it. They do NOT want people seeing Harris in real action.

I love how they pretend that libs weren't shrieking and pulling their hair out during the entirety of every other Republican presidency from Nixon onwards.

My feeling is that Joe himself doesn't even have a choice in the matter anymore, I think he is just going with whatever the most recent close and influential person to him said to do. Jill and Hunter are guarding him like hawks because Jill's power and possibly Hunter's freedom rest on either a deal coming through for them or Joe making it. If Joe isn't withdrawing, it's gonna look weird if he pardons Hunter and they'd be taking a risk on a new nominee winning or not. I don't think Jill or Hunter would go for an uncertain, and the only other way would be Kamala pardoning Joe and Hunter a'la Nixon/Ford but it seems they don't want to go that route.

It will definitely get more interesting as we get closer to the convention. There are many who feel that Joe didn't even feel that personally close to Obama and feels more than he thought Obama owed him help to the presidency. But with Jill and Hunter hanging on for sure guarantees we are liable to see some real intraparty fuckery.

This is an incredibly common cope, it happened with Bush the younger during Trump's presidency too, despite him being literal turbo Hitler when he was prez. They'll yack all about how the old guy was better even if they spent tons of energy talking about how the old guy was the worst.

It's also probably a feeble attempt to try to push Right wingers back into the "lose with dignity" box, but that's becoming increasingly less likely.

The only person who has any faith in Harris, is Harris. She's Hilary, but worse in every single way. She comes across as just as inept as Biden, but without the excuse of advanced age.

It's something they went on the air and said openly 5 minutes after the speech.

"Trump spent two hours rambling, lying and threatening Americans and Republicans are cheering him on! This must be stopped and only Joe Biden can lead us forward"
