It's surprisingly easy to volunteer. Walk into your local Republican party headquarters and ask what they need. They will give you tasks. There's always things to do. These past few years, I've been volunteering for local campaigns. It's rewarding when your guy wins, and you make friends too. Be prepared to get yelled at by weirdos if you do door knocking though.

I think the whole Biden situation is proof that the Dems are not exactly the infallible shadowy puppet masters that doomers want to portray them as.

The theory back in 2021 (which was pretty widely believed) was that Biden was just a temporary measure who would get upended by his VP who was the real candidate all along.

Except his VP was Kamala, who is not only an inept moron, but also someone who wanted to be the big boss who didn't take directions from anyone. Putting her in place would have been suicide or done even more damage.

Yet somehow at no point leading up to the debate did anyone seriously try to pivot away from Biden, despite all the clear signs that he is in severe cognitive decline, and can barely keep himself together. And now we're less than 4 months from election day, with no clear sign of who is going to be the dem candidate, while trump is more popular than ever, and is rallying support arguably even more than he had back in 2016.

Unless the play is massive, unprecedented cheating, which will be a lot harder to justify now that COVID regulations are gone, there's no chance of a 2024 win for team blue.

As much as people complain about reagan's terrible immigration policy he went really hard against the civil rights and actually got a lot of it reversed before the Democrats passed everything back because they had the majority in both houses the Republicans helped them of course these are neocons AKA subversive trotskyites

Here's the thing. we can pretty well predict, at least in broad strokes, what will happen if they do it. If they do it and win the election they have a chance of holding together. It would require them to absolutely blitz their social agenda and absolutely would require court packing and a -massive- persecution campaign. But they have a chance. If they do it and -lose- though? The Democrat party would stop existing as a unified entity. Right now the -only- thing keeping their coalition together is the idea that at least that way the individual parts and conflicting sections can get into power. If they coup the convention they will lose all forms of legitimacy -within- their party, and losing would then remove the one singular reason that any member has to be part of it.

A chance to exist versus total annihilation guaranteed would be pretty fucking clown world.

Even if he loses, he's still president for another 2 months during his "lame duck" period where he could pardon Hunter. He could step down from running again as well and he'd still be the president.

If I were Hunter I'd want a signed pardon that the date could be filled in later on in case Joe dies in his fucking sleep like the old man he is before the election. Otherwise he has to hope that Kamala would give him a pardon and I don't think she likes the Biden family very much right now.
