2) Almost everyone has a God-shaped hole in their soul. If God doesn’t fill it, then something else inevitably will. Some Atheists worship the state. Some worship money. Some worship the soyence. Some worship hedonism. For the fast majority of people, if their life doesn’t revolve around God, it’ll usually start to revolve around something that causes them to spiral.

I'm so glad this is becoming a more common place opinion. I have a thread in Mass Debates where I tried to address the lack of any God or spirituality being the direct cause of the decline of Western nations, especially the US - which while founded with largely secular language in its documentation was a defacto Christian nation in the early days. People still held the idea that there is a greater power at work and that eventually we all have to answer to it as a core part of their being. The human mind with no spiritual guidance or thought is unchained.

It's because they think they know better than everyone else. I used to be an atheist. Would think "these people are so stupid, handwaving all scientific explanation just to believe what they want to believe. They're like flat earthers!" Having since converted to a religion, it was only through accepting how much I didn't know and recognizing patterns that I started to believe there was a god (even if it wasn't the christian one). The suicidal ideation doesn't go away after you convert, though. Democrats accept atheists into their ranks with fervor and perpetuate that "I know more than you" mentality which is why so many atheists are democrats and also insufferable. They'll do everything to drag you down to their level of stupid and then beat you over the head til you lose.

Democrats are actually kiind of okay with suicide. Canada speed ran it and introduced MAID. Strong majority of users on sanctioned suicide are democrats. Seeing more and more tumblr users saying it's okay to suicide. It's kind of crazy. I mean, I agree that we should have a right to suicide but it shouldn't be just because you're unhappy that jason broke up with you lmao.

As a Christian, I see Atheism as this: Atheism is when you think you know everything. That you can explain everything. Religion is the admission that, yeah, you don't know everything- and that's OK. When crazy things happen in life, instead of freaking out about it, you can take comfort in the fact that you aren't in control. What is going to happen is going to happen on God's time. And it'll all work itself out.

Atheists think they can figure out everything about the universe when we don’t even know everything about our own planet. How the universe started, how the universe will end. What is the logic behind vacuum decay? How would we ever know if the universe is limited or infinite? What the hell is space? We know that a black hole absorbs light, but where does that light go? Does it get destroyed? Is a black hole a tear in space? Is it a gateway? Honestly, we just don’t know enough and I don’t think we’re ever meant to. And I’m completely fine with that. Space is boring anyway. I’ve always been far more fascinated with the ocean.

As humans we just need to humble ourselves and accept that our limited minds are not meant to hold all this knowledge. I’m sure all that knowledge will come in the afterlife.
