That Metal Thread

My idiot suspicion is that KF conceals the source of the requests (Josh was messing around with that a little while ago if everyone remembers), and so because YT can't determine where or how the video is being displayed it often won't allow it, either due to region locks or advertising or some other gay reason.
I think if that was the case, none of them would work. IIRC the person who uploads the video can control whether or not it's allowed to be embedded, so my guess would be that's what's happened with the ones that don't work.

So the festival Hell’s Heroes has showed the 1st wave of bands, it was a bit underwhelming.
What is catching people’s attention is the return of Absu. Trannies and soyboy faggots are throwing a tantrum because how dare a band kick someone out for wanting to snip their cock off and be a shemale tranny. I am doing this from my phone, so please forgive but the comment section is pure gold (fortunately the sane people heavily outnumber the fags) :
When did the metal scene become inundated with so many oversensitive pussies? I know some subgenres have always had some bands with lefty politics (grindcore in particular comes to mind), but it's strange to see them show up in subgenres like black metal.

One subreddit had a list of "black metal bands to avoid" because they were either explicitly NS or implicitly NS. Bands like Marduk were included on there simply for having a WWII concept album. They also cried about bands like Impaled Nazarene and Destroyer 666 because they had songs about rape. Imagine listening to subgenres known for their extreme lyrics and then being upset about the bands' extreme lyrics.

Why don't these limp-wristed goofballs just stick with hardcore punk and crust punk? Seems more their speed. Won't have to worry about hearing or seeing anything that offends their delicate sensibilities.

There are a lot of factors to the pussy invasion: social media, celebrities, metalcore (to a certain extent), bands that encourage it, and people that just want to ruin what you enjoy/love.
The biggest factor IMHO is the cross-pollination with crustfunder faggots which started with the ascent of Wolves In The Throne Room back in the double aughts.

Wolves In The Throne Room
I listened to the first couple albums of theirs back in the day and thought they were just okay. I've never read or seen any interviews with the band members, but being from Olympia, WA, I wouldn't be surprised if they were lefties of some type. Their music reminded me of atmospheric black metal bands like Paysage d'Hiver, but much more polished (and thus more easily consumed by black metal newbies).

I always thought it was bands like Deafheaven and other "blackgaze" bands that brought hipsters into the black metal scene. Pitchfork readers who eventually discover bands like Marduk, Burzum, Impaled Nazarene, etc and immediately start crying online about "problematic" black metal bands.

The hipster bands did cause the rise of soy in metal, but you could argue that it originated in the 2000s with bands like Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and the 2nd wave black metal acts getting popular and being sold at Hot Topic.

I think the sellouts of the late 90s/early aughts should be differentiated from this new breed: CoF and Dimmu were about fat stacks of cash and BPD goth girl blowjobs not pointing out "problematic behavior in the metal scene".

I don't have a problem with some of the "sellout" bands. I like Dimmu's stuff up to Death Cult Armageddon, and I have no problem listening to any of CoF's stuff. I listen to everything from bands like Ildjarn to CoF, don't care if people cry about CoF not being "trve." But I couldn't get into bands like Deafheaven. They just don't interest me.

There are a ton of black metal bands that don't have any political lyrics or imagery, but these crybabies are very hyper-focused on any band they think even sort of has a whiff of White supremacy or whatever. I don't remember if I saw it on Reddit or elsewhere, but someone was compiling a list of Ukrainian black metal bands to support after Russia invaded, and there was much hand-wringing over how many "nazi" or "nazi-adjacent" Ukrainian black metal bands there were. Nooo, you can't listen to or promote Drudkh, they're nazis! Clown show.

I've seen much less complaining about Drudkh and their associated bands ever since Evil Russia invaded Innocent Angelic Ukraine. Even saw a dangerhair talking positively about Hate Forest

Haha, I remember 3 or so years ago one of the retards from Imperial Triumphant had to do a media groveling tour for daring to appreciate HF.

I checked M-A and of course they were kvetching about Absu.

Like this faggot who clutches his pearls over the thought of (presumable) skinheads drinking beer and yelling "TRANNIES" during the set (which would be equivalent to five Holocausts):o

absu 2.png
"I've never met an Absu fan in the wild" as though anyone who likes Absu wears their shirts 24/7 and sieg heils every twenty seconds just to let you know they're heckin chudderinos

absu 3.png
And to think Absu wasn't even controversial ten years ago. What a bunch of closet wankers with histrionic personality disorder.

The guy praising a band's album and then sweating over whether that band might hold opinions that make him sad reminded me of how often you hear shitlibs and leftoids definitively declare that conservatives and right-wring chuds can't create amazing creative works. Yet, you see the kind of thing in this screenshot happen in the metal scene all the time now. "This amazing band I like used an othala rune on their album's artwork, I can never listen to them again 😭"

Around December 2014 when the whole "MetalGate" thing happened.
I guess I just don't pay enough attention to notice this stuff. I remember Marduk having a show canceled somewhere a while back because lefties threatened the venue. Didn't something similar happen with Taake?
