Patrick genuinely seems to view "the media" as a theological entity.
They pretty much are to some people, same goes for The Science™. I do blame The Media™ and Black Science Man for this mostly. When you cut out the actual scientific process and reduce research to sound bites and party tricks you're not making actual science more attractive, and accessible you're getting smug midwits everywhere to treat it like religious dogma in ye olden days, just people regurgitating what they've been told mindlessly. Now don't get me started on The Big Bang Theory.

This aged well.

I sure hope none of the protesters give Pat a hard time about being wrong again. That might annoy him slightly.

Milwaukee is *his* city? Someone who just moved there 13 years ago? He's a transplant and should not speak for residents who are born and raised within Milwaukee. The RNC was fine; downtown was a mess, but all the visitors were very polite and respectful. Sure there was an occasional jackass who was driving on the sidewalk with the scooters or weaving in and out of traffic with one, but ehh. It's typical for anyone.

He lives on the east side and was nowhere near downtown or the perimeter. Otherwise he would have seen that the people downtown during the convention were just people. Sure, they might have had different beliefs, and some of them wore MAGA shit, but they are still just people who just wanted to get through the week without incident and maybe enjoy a city that they never thought much about.

The event is over, numbnuts. Only losers like you wear the lanyard all the way home.
Have some sympathy for the pig. The only time he was more frightened was when The Pollack showed up at his watering hole and demanded a fight. I'd be surprised if Rick wasn't hiding under a blanket while xeeting.

Get a load of this moron.

Pat really thinks Republicans quake in fear of being ID’d in public by Democrats, the “party of peace.”

Of course Patrick wouldn't know why flights got canceled because he wont watch the news unless it agrees with this guys take. Fuck him. I hope WorldCon bans him while he's on the plane.

It's going to be wild when the DNC falls apart in Chicago and he has to continually come up with increasingly implausible excuses. How many Dem delegates will be robbed at gunpoint or assault by niggers?
This might come as a shock to you but Milwaukee is actually worse than Chicago

I’ve been to both in the past year and both seem fairly neighborhood-dependent in terms of crime and unpleasantness. In Chicago recently we saw white girls out jogging alone in West Town/Wicker Park at midnight with not a homeless person in sight and mostly only delivery people out on the streets. Logan Square was similarly chill. Milwaukee was rougher around the edges downtown but not that bad. We stayed far from the ghetto-ass neighborhood where Pat rots.

All major cities are shit holes in the United States. The question is whether they’re uniformly a shit hole or whether there’s nice parts and there’s shitty parts.

The cities that are uniformly shittier often not as bad as the shittiest part of some of the cities that have good parts, but a uniformly shitty city is depressing as hell.

Lately it’s been all over but I know in Chicago you’ll get a heap of shootings and robberies usually at like early morning-late night (Probably because it might be around police shift change and they know the officers will punt to next shift) or just idling in your car or at a street corner randomly. I think a lot of people just got a feel like prey sensing predators coming in downtown these days. Last few times this year I went downtown my more liberal friends will say “Oh don’t worry crime isnt a big deal” but start freaking out when we’d idle too long in a spot or hurry us all home when staying out too late which has been a switch from pre-Covid days.

Can’t say for Milwaukee only been a few times but iirc the city still has a ton of segregation so shootings, one which almost Tim Pool was involved in iirc, are in historically black areas… I mean economically downtrodden because of white supremacy and not at all due to inherent qualities of a people
