I'm busy at work today and the highlight posts don't really explain it well for me but why is Project 2025 bad again? I thought it's supposed to be heckin' based by banning abortions federally or whatever. That's the only part libtards keep talking about regarding Project 2025 lol literally just "ZOMG! ITS GONNA BAN ABORTIONS!" but that's it?
Project 2025 is brought up by liberal talking heads endlessly primarily due to the fact it seeks to address the federal bureaucracy and bring it more in line with conservative objectives. Propagandists cannot be expected to speak honestly on its true intentions and values, they will only say how evil it is. Trump's opposition aim to make the very term into some sort of political poison for this election.

It's something that is great to conservatives and terrifying to liberals for whatever reason. Trump going against it is probably the best choice for his campaign and it is also just some put forward by a think tank and no one on his team. His stance on it also aligns with what seems to be a policy of removing political avenues of attack by making his intentions on policy more vague. There is a possibility that since Project 2025 is wide in scope, some aspects of it may be implemented in a potential second Trump administration even though the initiative itself might not be brought up.

It's mostly warmed over Heritage Foundation neocon sleeping pills.

It's not even extreme, like Trump is saying. The Heritage foundation is not "the opposite of the radical left, the radical right", they're boring regular conservatives. The actual radical right hates them for being cucked losers.

I know what he's doing, why he's trying to exaggerate things and disavow. But he just explicitly shifted the Overton window to the left.

It's often said there will never be something to unite everyone around like 9/11 again the division is so bad. And you know what? This it in action. People are mad that he lived. If he had been shot there would have been dancing in New York.
I think that events like 9/11 and Trump's Assassination in terms of unifying events are in a way destined to happen when division is strong. When times are terrible, people do terrible things. And that's when good men rise to the occasion. That's when shit finally gets real, you reach the point of no return, and you have the choice of fixing the issue that started this mess or continuing towards the path of destruction. Trump survived that bullet because he was meant to. I am convinced there were angels at his side that day. We now stand at the point of no return, and we have those two choices. Unlike 9/11, I feel this time we ARE going to fix things. We have to.

It's why I feel it'll guarantee his victory

In a way he is giving up the "fight" publicly on social issues the Republicans used to care or at least ostensibly care about. Maybe he wants to be discrete on his true views but it's hard to say. Integrating policy once seen as taboo by Republicans the Democrats adopted first is nothing new for the GOP unfortunately.

God please, I need another debate like this. Biden's gimmick is getting old.

Just hearing the words fact-checker and fact-checking gave me PTSD. It doesn't help either that it is said in the most condescending tone possible. It's crazy how Trump has mostly ran against itself, people aren't even voting Biden or Hillary, they are just voting against Trump.

The fact that Hillary had a following at all is mindblowing to me.

Agenda 47 has many of the good things in Project 2025 already. The reason the left is desperate to talk about 2025 but not 47 is because only 2025 mentions abortions and pushing pro-life stuff which is a absolute necessity for them as they consider infantcide a religious doctrine.
It's also the only issue that the Democrats have a winning position on right now.
