The religious ones that see him as a sort of "Messiah" for America are the ones who shock me the most. Like dude, I get it, religious leaders don't need to be without sin, but Trump is literally the embodiment of 80's yuppie psychopathic consumerism (He was mentioned several times in American psycho as a role figure.) and fucked pornstars while married shamelessly. Oh come on. Look, Trump does tend to go off on weird rants or say some nonsensical shit, I get that. But Trump has always been like this, and he's a populist for crying out loud, those types always make heavy exaggerations to rile up their base. I'm not even trying to say here Trump is cognitively perfect but you can't tell me that Biden is somehow more cognitively coherent than Trump is. Biden can barely string a couple sentences together without trailing off or making a mistake. Obviously no one in their age range should be president of the United States but to say Trump's mental state is somehow worse then Joe's is ignorant to me.
Right, Trump is mentally where Biden was four years ago. Neither of them are doing well or at the mental level needed to be effective Presidents, actuarially speaking both of them are already living on borrowed time.

Agreed. He did the right thing. It's not about HIM thinking he can do the job four another four years, it's about his party doubting it and not wanting Trump to win. I was so afraid that Dems sitting out the election would give Trump the edge. It will be interesting to see who he endorses as his successor. Kamala? Or someone else? I can just picture him asking Kamala if she's up for it/wants it, and if not, who she would suggest. I personally like Pete Buttigieg. He's smart as a whip, but his name hasn't been floated.
