Real talk though. Kamala has a serious issue with Biden NOT resigning. She's completely tied to everything Biden does with the country up until election day, but she also has no control over what the Government does under Biden. Lets not forget that for whatever reason, the Universe LOVES throwing a major crisis around August and September. Whatever happens between now and the election will be on Kamala, but she has no power to do anything about it.

Something I've not seen anyone mention is what this will do to the white boomer vote. I believe Biden did abnormally well among 65+. He managed to sell himself as the 40+ year known politico to stabilize the ship. Now that flips and they have to choose between a Trump that they don't like, but they can look back 4 years ago to see things were going well, vs a giant gamble on a young blackish communist that's oddly off-putting in a way they can't put their finger on and was directly responsible for the catastrophe of the past 4 years. I do think what is lost in the black vote as a result of this will be dwarfed by the clueless "don't rock my retirement boat" boomer demographic, which are legion.

GenX and olders:
  • Oprah, Michelle, Ellen... the three High Priestesses of the wrinkled, liberal wine-aunt, are all going to give Kamala their blessing. All the white Karens will be given their marching orders and follow it. They're all NPCs. So white suburban college-educated women? Those votes are gone. But these are TOXIC votes--you do not want these bitches inside the Republican Party at any level, in any way. So that's that.
  • Non-college educated white women, that's the real question. It's not some singular blob like the women who live in donut housing. Kamala comes off fake as fuck all the time. She can't give her personality an abortion this quick, and even if she prepared for this ahead of time—I think she will fail. Her only campaign experience is in California, where she stayed away from workaday white women.
  • Kamala now gets the YASSSKWEEENs from the black caucus, but she was deeply unpopular with black democrats in the primary, and that hasn't changed. The black vote went to Biden because they were voting for what they thought would bring them continuity, and that he understood that their needs have to be catered to. "Skinfolk arent always kinfolk, baby".
The Latino vote... well shit nobody is talking about that on any channel, they're being left behind aren't they.
