It's the main reason why so many scientific papers come out and get discredited or debunked later by people just trying to reproduce the study over and over and finding completely different data. It's why for example trans science papers constantly get debunked right now like with the Cass report and the recent study showing that denying people Puberty Blockers don't actually increase suicide. The reason this occurs is because you don't get funding for studies that just say "something might be happening but the results are unclear". And you don't get citations for doing that either. So scientists just find ways to stretch the truth to create conclusions that let them keep their high paying prestigious jobs. Usually by using incredibly low sample sizes or just selectively excluding numbers that don't support their conclusions. Or in the case of Jan Hendrik Schon just making fake graphs and passing them off as real.

Science is just a way to gather truth it is not truth itself. It is not "the science" it is just "science". Debunking old data and creating new conclusions is how science works. And it's not in opposition to religion like you are so persistent to claim.
