She's boring, and she doesn't exude confidence. Look I'm trying to be objective as possible this is NOT Presidential to my ears. Republican faithful like to say "Oh people didn't vote for Joe Biden, they voted no to Trump." But look back in 2020 when Biden talked on 60 Minutes, it really hits home how bad Joe's decline is because this version of Biden is so much better.

This idea that Kamala is the one that can win, it's not built on any credible evidence. She will be the weakest candidate in modern Presidential History.

It would be really awkward for the vote if Kamala picks a running mate for after Biden's term that is different from the VP she has during the rest of the term. I agree that the likely result is Kamala just won't get a VP at all for the rest of the year. But again, hiding Biden's death gives almost a nonexistent boost to them, as it just slightly makes Kamala's VP less of a headache, and they don't have to risk Kamala being blamed for her run as president for the next 6 months - but she likely already won't be due to how chaotic the situation would be. Comparatively, the downsides of hiding his death are more massive than Trump's ego.

While I agree in spirit I am surprised to say this. You are not thinking properly clown world. Admitting Biden died is also admitting they pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. Yes, this would be the most sane thing to do, it would be causing pain to themselves in the short term to hopefully bury it in the long term. Not really. The basis of the decision is that as far as the constitution is concerned Biden won and served. Time to dispute the election results is until Vice Presidential certification. I think it's fair to say that theory would remain unviable for the reason mentioned. Now, the Maine decision is not binding, but I am sure that if it was tested anywhere else, they'd arrive at the same conclusion (as would SCOTUS if it reached that).

Question: I've heard a lot of people I know, both on the left and right, saying that Michelle Obama would be a power move VP pick. Can anyone here explain why people would think this?

I don't get it. As far as I'm aware, she doesn't have political aspirations, at least not that I've heard about. Jokes about her being a man aside, she's always seemed like a relatively normal person in the broad scope of things, other than the fact that she was the first lady.

But again, I have heard numerous people, on both sides, sincerely voice the opinion that she has the potential to be a major political player.

Have I just been living under a rock? It doesn't really click with me. Yes, I know(and they know), she doesn't have any actual experience. Does she just have a massive fanbase or something?

Moreover, assuming accurate polling, Trump is at the level where he's running outside the margin of fraud.

Doesn't matter how great the Detroit or Milwaukee fraud machines are, if Trump is actually running +5-7 points ahead of his 2020 numbers the dead and body doubles aren't making up that difference.

The loophole, and why all these challenges ceased to matter once Mike Pence did his thing, around the election fraud is that it's the Electoral College who votes for the President, not the people. The Electoral College voted for Biden, and Congress certified the Biden Electoral votes. The election, the one that people actually vote for, is in essence just a glorified suggestion as to who should be President. I think in earlier times, when the Founding Fathers were still alive, they said that state legislature didn't even necessarily have to put on an election to determine which electoral voters go to the Electoral College

Trump ended the Republican coronations, that's part of a big component to his popularity with the working class. Democrats don't have a similar attraction. They'll have to fake it by hiding the Clinton/Obamanistas that are awash throughout the party machine.

But they can't just take progressive walk-ins either. Progressives are very fucking toxic right now in D elections. You can see how badly AOC is coping, she's not doing well.

Kamala's campaign has to make people believe (well, mostly just women), that she's resetting the Democrats back to the point they were at with Al Gore, circa 2000. She has to erase 24 years of marching to the left.

Just as I told a pro-Dem colleague that there would be war in the Ukraine around a year after a Dem win prior to 2020, I'm saying that if Kamala becomes president the realistic chance of WWIII jumps higher. And you'll plausibly see a draft as well.

Some will disagree but some of those same people are those who kept telling me that Biden wouldn't drop out. Right now, I think it's pretty plausible that Biden is trying to leave some room in Delaware and being physically prevented; and his wife is being downright threatened into not making any public statements. We're witnessing an actual coup right now.
