TGWTG Linkara / Lewis Lovhaug - HMMMMMMM? (Dead Gay Muppet Gangbang)

9 days since last video, month"s almost over, was supposed to be event comics month, where the hell is Lewis?

Apparently secret wars II is too hard to script into a review for given how it was probably the first in a long line of event comics having the story connected to practically every comic marvel made for 9 months or so from 85-86

I also imagine he's thinking how much of his own storyline shit he can shove into this review.

He doesn't usually do the tie ins. Like Civil War, people were excited for him to cover that scene where a reporter tells Captain America he's out of touch because he doesn't know who won Idol last year, only for him to point out that it wasn't in the main series so he only referenced it but didn't touch it.

At this point it's probably getting harder for him to be motivated to do the show. He's been late a few times over the past few years. Lewis used to say he'd love to keep the show going for as long as possible, but I doubt he has the same enthusiasm for it that he did ten years ago.

sheer stubborness and autism keeping him doing it now, plus mortgage payments.

It's kinda sad in a way, there are far better comic channels out there from comics historian (r.i.p) to Salazar knight who's able to build up a following even though he exclusively covers batman content, and even then uploads even less frequently than Lewis. To bounding into comics who's pretty popular despite having anti woke, "transphobic" Views.

Lewis is essentially a has been who's been overshadowed by all those channels and then some. A litteral dead man can get better views than him at this point. (And yes I know his family plans on continuing the channel with new hosts)

This is exactly like how crazy people cut themselves to deal with pain.

Forgot why he skipped on Invincible but The Orville? From what I’ve heard, it’s the best Star Trek series we’ve gotten in years.
Because it's not Marvel or DC is why he refused to read the comic. As mentioned above, if people recommend him something, even if it'd be right up his alley, he rejects it. I forget if he ever read Saga but when that was at its peak he refused to. He even refused to look at Mark Waid's Daredevil run even though he's a Waid fan and likes lighter takes on characters, but people told him to so he said no.

Also, he probably skipped Orville because he assumes, like many of us did, that it's just Family Guy in space. Which, to be fair, is what it was billed as.

I can get if folks were annoying about it, but I have to wonder if it’s just Linkara refusing to leave his comfort zone and a refusal to risk his biases being challenged.

it was specifically because he said that if he wants to watch Star Trek, he'd watch Star Trek. He would not accept replacements or alternatives.

I've watched all of Orville and yes outside of Picard Season 3 it's the best "Trek" since ENT and I liked Strange New Worlds and Prodigy. I also watched a few episodes of Acolyte out of curiosity.

Orville was originally TNG/VOY with Family Guy humor but with each season Seth cut the humor down to that by the time you get to season 3 New Horizons there is very little humor and most of it is very lowkey humor.

Orville if honest is more "Woke" than Acolyte difference is Orville is well written with likable characters. Acolyte is the definition of most of Disney Star Wars it's mediocre. It looks pretty but the characters are bland, and the story is bloated and meh.

Lewis might hate the series because of a character named Topa. Now Troons have rallied around and love Topa because they see her as one of their own while in reality, she kind invalidates their whole message. Her father Bortus is from a single sex society or at least he thought so until he had her. Turns out about 10 percent of their species are female but usually are forced to undergo SRS as babies or live in hiding. Season one had a big episode where he fought for his daughter right to be a female and it ended on a sad where his people's court ordered the surgery. Topa was then being raised a boy but as she got older, she knew something was wrong with her and became suicidal. Topa learned the truth and had surgery to reverse what had been done to her and was a girl again and happy. Troons see her as trans but in reality, it's more like a kid put on Puberty Blockers and being raised trans and rejecting it for her true gender but troons are too dumb and self-absorbed to realize it. The Topa storyline runs through all season and is about where does Cultural Acceptance ends, women oppression, and forcing your child to be something it's not (which it the part the troons jump on without again realizing it was Topa wanting to be her true gender and not chosen gender).

Seth MacFarlane is insanely liberal, but he's done many "Transphobic" jokes on Family Guy and Ted, and he seems to be very much a Terf in Ted 2 the character of Ted said, "There are no chicks with Dicks only Guys with Tits". But he won't dare say it out loud due to the fact it's a death sentence in the liberal community today especially Hollywood just look at Rowling.

Being a Tranny Chaser maybe Lewis has picked up on it and thus hates his work unseen.

Guess that could also explain why he avoids Invincible.

I know it's desperate to trend chase, but Lewis really could've benefitted if he chased trends to take advantage of the films and show adaptations of new comic properties. Would've at least brought engagement to his dying channel.

It's really good, except the 3rd season, season 3 is most likely why we ain't, exactly getting season 4, loved that show, one of the few good things Seth has made in his careers that's actually worth watching.

Also the stigma of 'Family Guy in Space' was more Seth did a purposeful bait and switch; he sold it as that to get the show greenlit, but never intended it to be. The first ep was especially over the top on purpose with the Seth Humor, but Seth is a Trekkie, and he always wanted this to be a loveletter to Star Trek.

The powers that be wanted Orville to fail, to the point that they 'leaned on the needle' of reviewers to repeat 'Family Guy in Space', which, again, by episode 3 of Orville, most of the random Seth Humor was toned down to the point where it was more the characters had individual quirks. Fun fact: Go to Rotten TOmatos and look at the season 1 Orville critics review vs Fan review.

Then go to Star Trek:biggrin:iscovery's numbers for their season 1.

The needle leaning was oh so very obvious.

To the point that, for Rotten Tomatos to even keep a shred of it's credibility on the Critics review percentage, they flip flopped on Orville Season 2; HARD!

To those that watched Orville, there was not a sudden 70% jump in quality between seasons 1 and 2. If anything, the quality remained mainly the same. The overcorrection was hilarious, but not just on Rotten Tomatos part.

The Orville realeased this season 2 trailer in 2018.

And then Star Trek Discovery's season 2 trailer.

It was obvious what happened to everyone watching immediately. Seth fucking won, he made a better Star Trek.

oh, and here is Lewis's infamous "Don't tell me what to do!" tweet
